I spoke to a friend yesterday who is a Sunderland season ticket holder, and he said that Mignolet is a good shot stopper, very agile, tends to punch on crosses but doesn't command his back four that well, needs to be more vocal.

 

He went on to say that we would be mad to sell Reina and keep Mignolet as first choice, but the potential is clearly there for him to get better as he'd be with players better than Titus Bramble.

I'd say I've seen him play 10 full games (against us live and then Sky Sports) I've seen him have one good game, against us - every keeper has a good game against us. He's shit.

He needs to get better with his feet but we knew that already. His shot-stopping is truly world class. If we can polish the rough edges to his game we will have a really fantastic goalkeeper.
