Mkhitaryan

Yep, I started a thread on him.

And I didnt even need to check when I spelt his name, I've kind of got a system, it's Mk-hit-aryan.

I think if people need to say his name, it's better to drop the M and just go with Kitarian (Khitaryan).

Quite a racist name on the sly isn't it.

don't think I've ever seen him play as I don't recall watching Shakthar in the last couple of years and he looks very good on videos (I know) and have only heard good things so sounds like if he comes he'll be an exciting signing

needs to get off to a good start with a fee like that from an unknown league like or the media will be quickly on his back

I pointed that out from the start, so wind it in.

There's no way Suarez could be in the same team as him.

Suarez cant be in the same team as 1000's of other top players, his greediness would piss off most of them by half time

Would be funny as fuck to see him and ronaldo fighting for free kicks and getting pissy over the other being too greedy

Hope he goes there and its a disaster....it really should be

Given our success with Scottish players over the history of the club I suggest we should put in his contract that he'll have to change his name to Henry McTaryan.

I'm outraged he's not in fifa 13

I looked last night just so I could see what he was like on there and was shocked Donetsk wern't in the rest of the world section!

I did however enjoy using Celta Vigo with Aspas as my focal point

This transfer windows been throughly enjoyable so far, the players we've been linked with are all good players, we're getting them in early and there isn't a grenade like the Scott Dann or Lee Cattermole's of yesteryear for the fans to fret about.

I checked FIFA 13 right away too. I wonder what he will be on 14 if he were to sign for us.

Regarding Dortmund, rumors now are that they're very close to Eriksen, which may rule out then going for HM.

    • Jurgen Klopp has given hope to the likes of Xherdan Shaqiri and Adam Lallana as the club braces itself for a heavy schedule of games in the next month.

With the return of the Champions League as well as the League Cup, squad rotation will be required so that players stay fresh.

Speaking ahead of the fixture against Arsenal on Saturday evening, Klopp said those on the periphery will get their chance.

Liverpool Echo reported Klopp as saying:

“Every year is the same and always in the same moment at the beginning of the season.

“You want to have that, and if you don't have it then you have injuries from pre-season and that's the last thing you want.

“ Still, I would say in this moment, Shaq didn't play enough, he is in a really good shape.

“Adam didn't play enough, in a really good shape. Dejan didn't play enough, in a really good shape.

“These are completely normal things. Some others might also say that they don't play enough.

“But we have to prepare for a season.

“At the start of the season without intensity, you try to get rhythm, you try to get stability at the beginning. It's not a moment where you change too many things.

“Then it will happen automatically and in the next (few) weeks you have to (change things) and everything will be fine then.

Klopp said he was happy to give his stars a couple of days off during the week after a busier than normal workload to start the season which has included the Community Shield and the Super Cup.

“ I was really happy for the boys to give them the two days off.

“We didn't plan it, but it's easier when you win so we didn't tell them beforehand.

“Somebody needs to remind me that it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a day off!

“I had Sunday off, Monday I was working. Sunday I watched football, the Chelsea v Leicester game. That was nice.”

Klopp is not putting too much emphasis on a clash against a top six opponent as he rightly says that every game is important if you want to have ultimate success come the end of the season.

“I had a couple of years ago a really good record in the mini-league then didn't pick up enough points in the other games.

“Then last year the record was not bad but was obviously for people not good enough because we drew a lot.

“ We have to get as many points as possible and we cannot decide where we get them.

“We're Liverpool and every week we have to try to win, and that's what we will do.

“I don't think this result on Saturday will be the decisive result of the season.”

    • Considering they were playing in Warsaw I'd assumed it was something more broadly anti-Catholic.  Pathetic really.
    • I think it's pretty clear they've issued that because as long as we're still actually under contract with New Balance it would be in extremely poor taste to issue a statement saying we're planning to switch a year from now.   Sort of colours the relationship with New Balance, and we still have a whole year to go (minimum) in that relationship. I expect it's sorted behind closed doors, but won't be made public until some respectable time, probably in the spring some time when the NB deal is about to expire.
    • Also, I don't know if there are many finer allegories for the human condition than Seamus Coleman's seemingly eternal struggle to keep his tongue in his mouth.  Despite the constant effort he's always destined to fail, poor lad.
