Ben Habib spoke brilliantly tonight to be fair to him.

I thought the audience was standard. You can spot the Tories, their faces sliding off their face mostly, and some cunt with 35 employees thinking he's capable of running the rail network was hilariously shit.

Fiona Bruce was a fucking dickhead, but despite that I think it was a resounding kicking received by the Tories tonight.

That was the cunt who told Mick Lynch he was the death of the railways!

Woman failing to understand that the dinosaurs are not extinct due to a failure of collective bargaining or lack of ability to adapt to technology, but rather due to a big fuck-off rock crashing into the planet.

Yeah, I did enjoy the Tory attempts at shouting various useless business slogans at him which were totally useless.

Some of them were angry at the railways not running but then also suggesting they need a new business model because people don't use trains now....

And like Habib says, this is just the tip of the iceberg after 12 years of public sector wage suppression. Rail was the first, and the others will follow.

The public sector has led by example for 12 years, swallowed hard and done their job for less and less.  No more.  We've done our bit for this country while the Tories have spunked billions on Brexit and HS2 and giving out free money to businesses during the pandemic.

Not sure if this is the right thread for this, but the BBC must think we all zip up at the back.

We've had wall to wall coverage over the 2 strike days this week of how much peoples lives have been disrupted by the strikes.

Today - "Why haven't the strikes caused more disruption?"

Make your minds up you disingenuous tory buttlickers!

The trouble with Habib is what he didn't say. It was more important to him to attack the government than it was the RMT. He didn't mention in a heartbeat he would scrap all workers rights. He edged towards it a couple of times and backed away.

The trouble is these useless slogans are believed by the electorate. These fuckers go out and vote and they're not alone. I mentioned on another thread this week talking about the strike, I'd had people on calls going on about the railway workers earn enough for sitting on their arses. I know there's been a few pills showing support for the strike, but income across loads of people who are just like those cunts in the audience.

Bruce cut across Mick Lynch twice in the first few minutes of the show, I pretty much switched off after that as I knew the harpie in the green dress would be allowed to run her mouth off at will, and Lynch would be stopped in his tracks (no pun intended) whenever he was trying to get his point across.

Some of the audience were the usual, carefully inserted blue activists who were allowed to put their hackneyed, 1970’s/80’s, Saatchi & saatchi, drivel over about Labour and the unions etc. etc., pretty much without sanction from Bruce and it made me wonder, just how much the BBC fears the future under the threat from the Tories and how much they’ll try to keep the corporation running at the expense of being neutral.

I don't think that's a BBC thing, it's a Bruce thing - she's a Tory cunt and doesn't try to hide it. But they won't get rid of her because they never get rid of the QT host and it's not just the backlash from Tories they'd need to worry about, but it would be accusations of they'd never do that to a man.

Slightly o/t but I think we are on a collision course

Over the last few day's we have seen the open hostility from the media towards working people taking s stand.

The BBC has focused heavily on how it will affect people (even crowbared into the Glastonbury story)

But in the coming months we may very well see the strikes spreading to other sectors

As Habib said last night, it will spread to other sectors. The railways are just the first to get here.

This will give you an insight in to where the BBC, on current trajectory, is heading and why lots of respected journos are seeking opportunities elsewhere...

It has always been a stated aim of these goons to destroy Auntie and they are getting there, sadly.

I didn't watch this last night. Return home this evening, is it worth watching or will it just send me into a rage?

I am edging towards watching YouTube clips.

It was interesting in as much the audience was full of cunts like "I am considerably richer than you" from Harry Enfield, but the panelist all ripped into the Tories (well except the Tory and she was shite and mostly just pulled faces). I think they thought having a brexit party member and the CEO of starling bank might lend the Tories some support, but quite the opposite. And the big thing with both of them, they were not going after the Tories for ethics and partygate, they were going after them for failure of policy. This is what we need next, more of this from all sides. Get it so they can't be trusted with the economy.

Enjoyed that, all of the panel, apart from the dead behind the eyes Tory harpie, giving the Tories the kicking they deserve with evidence, facts and calm authority, even Bruce.

Good that the prevailing winds seem to be moving in the right direction as neither policy, action or judgement can be held up to scrutiny.

Shame the audience didn't seem to realise.

Honestly Bruce, the bit in bold is the worrying part. I don't get it. The economy is in the toilet. They're a bunch of reprehensible cunts who lie, lie and lie again and spend as much time trying to break laws as they do make them. Yet still these fucking brain-dead cunts just nod and nod again to anything the Tories some out. I don't know how you change these cunts.

Delibrate policy of having opposing views and 'interesting' questions, you have to believe that it is becoming more and more difficult to get representation across the audience and these are the fag ends of this nonsense.

I have a couple of mates, retired but had their own businesses, both Reds and the sort of lads you can enjoy a bit of banter with. Normally. I won’t discuss politics with them because you can’t. They flat out believe Johnson is the single best thing since Churchill because he’s led the country out of Europe, got rid of ne’er do wells at a stroke and has led us to victory over Covid. These are seemingly level headed fellas who have done well for themselves, but they are shit scared of what happened in the 70’s with union power and believed more of the same would come from Corbyn and now the strikes are spooking them.

When one of them kicked off about benefit cheats taking money from the exchequer, I countered with the fact he preferred dealing in cash to avoid paying taxes and that this was the same thing as it prevented money going into the exchequer and he walked out of the pub we were in at the time. That’s why I don’t talk politics as its pretty much useless. Its indoctrination via the Daily Xenophobe and media and its getting tougher for the Labour party and Socialists to get unbiased treatment, and the public lap it up.

But we've just seen 30% vote Tory in Wakefield. It's horrifying really.

I don't think the opposition has anything to do with it. It's like they've all got Stockholm syndrome. It's cult like behaviour.

Certainly is, How any sentient being can still get off their arse , go to a polling station and put an X in the Tory box is a sad reflection on the mental health off millions of people. I despair .

I find it funny that the idea of Johnson having a harder time due to Covid, economically, compared to the COLLAPSE OF THR BANKING SYSTEM in 2008 which Labour had to deal with.

They're quick to point out the current issues are global, but when it game to the banking/housing crisis there wasn't the same acknowledgement and they were keen to frame it as a Labour failure.
