Nice to try the reasoned approach but I'm afraid you're wrong on this one. There is so much crap in JP posts that my Computer is going to need a nappy fairly soon.

Opinions are fine if they can be backed up, his can't. Keane and Ince have done pretty badly as managers and haven't shown enough to suggest they may do well in the future. The fact that they are both fucking dickheads mainly associated with mancs, and he's praising them, doesn't really sit well on an LFC forum. He's wrong. Simple as.

They maybe dickheads associated with Mancs, but that doesn't mean they couldnt have been good players or BECOME good managers. Your'e right in that they've both been shite up to now and they probably won't get the chance to manage a 'big' club 'cos of their record , but JP never said Keane should manage us and we'd win the title he only said he thought it would be good if he did - that it would wind the Mancs up. It's a bit different than what everyone is slating him for.

I don't remember Ince getting slagged week in week out when he played for us, this dislike of him has only really grew since Houllier ditched him in a swaythe of bad blood and the war of words that they played out in the press.

Ince maybe many things but he wasn't a bad player or a slacker.

I like Keane now 'cos he's the only media pundit who had the bollocks to slag ManU and Ferguson off - no-one else ever did

Lets get Roy and Paul in as joint managers and see how it goes?

Why do we keep appointing Roy's as managers? It didnt work the first time but we seem to keep repeating it, no Roy has ever done anything of note, ever. Apart from Roy of the rovers but thats not real.

For the people trying to make out im a manc, as i said i only started really getting into football the summer ince signed for us which means I never once seen him in a man u shirt.

And i only mentioned Keane when someone asked would we accept any ex mancs at our club.Keane is the only one of the top of my head I would accept.

As i said I think he us suited to working with big players and his comments about man u this season have made me warm to him, you got to respect him for having balls to say he would like to manage us.He has legendary status at that club but doesn't give a fuck about damaging his rep with them by admiting his respect for us.

Also I didn't say it was wrong decision to sell ince as didi was top player I was asking why the negative feeling towards him.

And the guy who said gh done a great thing removing our unprofessional attitude by getting rid of ince, wasn't that accusation made about Liverpool long before ince arrived?

If you were to praise houllier for this you should have mentioned players like ruddock, redknapp and even fowler, players who the accusations were actually about.

Seeing as ince was ours and englands captain Im sure the managers were comfortable with his conduct.

I was not aware of the anfield mole thing but judging by ghs treatment of him i can understand his actions even if i don't agree with them.

This thread is the reason why TLW is now utter shite and going down the pan day by day. JP asked a question and voiced an opinion and instead of a debate all anyone wants to do is throw digs and insults at him and turns the whole fucking thread into another dirge of meaningless petty posts.

-----

Yes Keane appeared arrogant, but he was their Souness, the greatest midfielder of his generation, and he was also arrogant.

I disagree with your assessment of the thread. JP asked why people dislike Ince and he was answered. He then kept trying to defend Ince and brought up a wacky and irrelevant suggestion about Keane: that's when people decided he must be a WUM and responded in kind.

As for your Keane/Souness comparison - I agree. Both great players. Both shit managers.

Fucking hell.

Paul Ince is the most despicable player to pull on a red shirt in my lifetime. An arrogant, cowardly twat who tried his best to destabalise the club from within while it was at one of its most vulnerable points following the break up of the disastrous joint managership debacle, purely because his own vanity couldn't deal with being told what to do. The "Anfiled mole" and all that shit - and he did shit out of the game with the mancs. He was the ultimate coward, goes missing when he's needed but clatters a 17-year-old two minutes from the final whistle and shakes his fist at the Kop.

It enrages me when footballers think fans are so stupid that they can get away with shit like that. Everything about him screamed arrogance. Even when Evans had him playing further forward as he'd done for Inter and he started scoring a few goals, he'd say things in interviews like "I took it upon myself to go forward more". He thought he was the boss, the 'guv'nor'.

That's why Houllier will always have my eternal respect, one of many reasons. He broke Ince and put him in his place, and set the tone for what would and would not be tolerated at Liverpool Football Club for the next decade plus. Disgrace of a footballer, fuck him.

Worse than Diouf ? Not for me. I actually thought Ince was a good signing at the time. Bit of a coup for us was it ? Maybe I remember things hazily, it was the 90's... Solid at Inter before us, £4m, cheap-ish. Shame, he had bags of experience that if channeled in the right way could have helped us loads. Loved the v Mancs goal, but best we got rid when we did. Not what we needed at that time.
