Thread after thread the debate goes on.

It's time to end the speculation. This poll will decide once and for all who is better Henderson or Allen

In 3 motherfucking days when this poll closes the line in the sand will be drawn. We will all know where each other stand in this most intriguing of debate.

Let's get this shit started

At what? Henderson is stronger and has a great engine. I think Allen is going to be a very high quality footballer, though. He's massively under appreciated on here.

MAKE YOUR CHOICE

It's a tricky one. I think we've got two potentially high-quality young British players. I don't think they're suited to the same position, or at least the same role in the team.

On potential, I think Allen shades it. However, he clearly needs protection from somebody with bulk. Henderson doesn't need that, so has had a better season. I thought Allen was fucking terrific in his first handful of games. I'm not sure if it was his shoulder or what it was, but he went off the boil and Henderson stepped up.

Henderson takes it on experience, though. He has plenty of Premier League games behind him so I think, despite being a few months younger, he's further along.

I'm actually not sure. If Allen comes back and plays as well as he can, then Allen. If not, and Henderson keeps improving, then Henderson.

Henderson has really impressed me this season. You can't help but like him. His attitude, as he was being thrown to the garbage, was exceptional. I mean that literally. It was exceptional. The character he has shown is brilliant, to be fair to the lad, and that goes a long way with me. How can you not love him bursting blood vessels when he celebrates goals?

I don't think 16m was a good amount for him, but if he can take the next step up - which would be to contribute 10 goals/goals created - then that fee won't look bad. He obviously has good technique and spirit. That's a good start.

Nah, shan't be voting because it's a shite poll with no 'undecided' option, which is the mark of an arse-bandit. True story.

Henderson definitely on merit this season. He's full of confidence right now and is so strong and mobile. Allen started off really well but has since fallen back. I hope he comes back strong for next season because he's an asset when on form.

Also if you judged them both on first seasons Allen has done better, not that thats really saying much as most of us on here could of contributed more than Henderson last season, he was that bad.

Nah Henderson showed loads of potential last season. Allen has shown little this season.

    • Jurgen Klopp has given hope to the likes of Xherdan Shaqiri and Adam Lallana as the club braces itself for a heavy schedule of games in the next month.

With the return of the Champions League as well as the League Cup, squad rotation will be required so that players stay fresh.

Speaking ahead of the fixture against Arsenal on Saturday evening, Klopp said those on the periphery will get their chance.

Liverpool Echo reported Klopp as saying:

“Every year is the same and always in the same moment at the beginning of the season.

“You want to have that, and if you don't have it then you have injuries from pre-season and that's the last thing you want.

“ Still, I would say in this moment, Shaq didn't play enough, he is in a really good shape.

“Adam didn't play enough, in a really good shape. Dejan didn't play enough, in a really good shape.

“These are completely normal things. Some others might also say that they don't play enough.

“But we have to prepare for a season.

“At the start of the season without intensity, you try to get rhythm, you try to get stability at the beginning. It's not a moment where you change too many things.

“Then it will happen automatically and in the next (few) weeks you have to (change things) and everything will be fine then.

Klopp said he was happy to give his stars a couple of days off during the week after a busier than normal workload to start the season which has included the Community Shield and the Super Cup.

“ I was really happy for the boys to give them the two days off.

“We didn't plan it, but it's easier when you win so we didn't tell them beforehand.

“Somebody needs to remind me that it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a day off!

“I had Sunday off, Monday I was working. Sunday I watched football, the Chelsea v Leicester game. That was nice.”

Klopp is not putting too much emphasis on a clash against a top six opponent as he rightly says that every game is important if you want to have ultimate success come the end of the season.

“I had a couple of years ago a really good record in the mini-league then didn't pick up enough points in the other games.

“Then last year the record was not bad but was obviously for people not good enough because we drew a lot.

“ We have to get as many points as possible and we cannot decide where we get them.

“We're Liverpool and every week we have to try to win, and that's what we will do.

“I don't think this result on Saturday will be the decisive result of the season.”

    • Considering they were playing in Warsaw I'd assumed it was something more broadly anti-Catholic.  Pathetic really.
    • I think it's pretty clear they've issued that because as long as we're still actually under contract with New Balance it would be in extremely poor taste to issue a statement saying we're planning to switch a year from now.   Sort of colours the relationship with New Balance, and we still have a whole year to go (minimum) in that relationship. I expect it's sorted behind closed doors, but won't be made public until some respectable time, probably in the spring some time when the NB deal is about to expire.
    • Also, I don't know if there are many finer allegories for the human condition than Seamus Coleman's seemingly eternal struggle to keep his tongue in his mouth.  Despite the constant effort he's always destined to fail, poor lad.
