So apply Occam's razor to the rest of the text you deleted from my initial reply as to why they did not run the story fully, as it can not have been anything other than an editorial choice, who was acting as editor is the uncertain part, not the outcome of the story being editorial choice.

 

As I've already demonstrated, they published a barebones article at 10.34pm, then updated it with more details 30 minutes later. There could be any number of reasons for this, maybe you should ring them up if you're that concerned.

I have since provided more definitive evidence, proving I was right about the article being edited. But you would sooner argue the toss about the earlier, abandoned statement I made in haste. Because admitting I was right about it being edited is apparently beyond you.

Yes, so you had no idea it had been edited until I pulled you about the age of the quotes, and then you panicked and went and found the content updated timestamp, but again, unless you know what actual content was added between 22:30 and 23:00, it in no way proves whether the paper/author did or didn't know he was a Tory MP at the time it was initially posted.
