Sometimes you just want ham, eggs and chips

Champ. It has to be crinkle cut chips for that, too. Well played. Very well played.

Lovely.

Looks nice but needs a sauce to tie it together. Something like a lemon butter or buerre noisette.

Probably, but unless you count gravy i don't think I've made a sauce with my food in a decade. Just can't be arsed generally.

Was butter and mint in the greens so was happy enough.

Enjoyable curry night at a place a few minutes walk from me. Nine of us trying to do some things together that don’t just involve sitting in a pub for twelve hours, getting wasted and arguing about the unmentionable.

Next event is Leeds v Wakefield Trinity at Headingley in Feb.

These initiatives won’t last but the food on this one was the business.

The tandoori sizzle plate looks pretty good.

Christmas pan's maiden voyage into the oven today with honey and garlic pork loin with root vegetables.

Really impressed with the outcome. The lid self bastes so just left it in for an hour and a half, internal temp was 60 so rested for half an hour watching the end of the unmentionable before making some butter-rice.

Delicious, simple food.
