I love sesame seeds. I'm pleased to see you do too.

I'm a bit sad that nobody else will be able to get any this year now you've used them all.

If that was on a menu it would definitely say 'Sesame Seeds garnished with pork belly and spring onions'.

And if it was the listed ingredients prioritised by weight or volume on a takeaway box in Asda the spring onions would legally be required to be listed 2nd.

On nights last night and we’ve just had a new £5,000 Rational oven installed so decided to do my yorkshires in that see how they go compared to at home.

Yes, that is a pint glass next to them to give you an idea how fucking massive they came out.

Interested to hear what a 5k oven can do. We're looking to upgrade (not to that extent) but that is commitment.

I go to one of these continental Asian supermarket shops and get a huge bag of them for £2.99. In fact every bag of spice is £2.99 and more than you can eat in a year.

Had a few too many carbs earlier in the week so had this Friday. The pic doesn't do any justice to the pork chop which was large and magnificent. Oil salt and thyme on the rind, oven 15 minutes at 200, then 40 minutes at 130 then cranked up for final 10 mins. And that's steamed and sautéed kale and green beans. And the pudding was beautiful.

Look at that crackling. Just fucking look at it.

After Ste's awesome cheese pie last week I decided to make a Homity Pie for dinner.

I'm sure it's not, but as there isn't too much to get a grasp of scale from that makes my brain think it's about 18 inches in diameter.

Looks fucking stupendous.

Glut of tomatoes at the moment, so made a tomato galette, with some spuds out the garden and the last of the lettuce for accompaniment.

Also did a trade off with next door and swapped tomatoes for apples and did an apple pie. My pastry work being more agricultural, than rustic, but all of it was lovely, even if I say so my self.

This confused me as I thought a Galette was a savoury pancake. Well, it turns out there are 3 different types: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galette
