Dinner is served!

Perhaps a tad controversial; well done homemade steak pie with a few beans on the side.

Beans could have done with a while longer on the hob. Other than that, not bad.

Have you run out of Poundland frozen chips? I know Poundland don’t have freezers so I’m assuming that’s where you buy them from?

I made beef tenderloin with garlic mashed potatoes, fried leeks and a taleggio cheese sauce. It was a 12/10 (the beef was fresh from a friend's farm this week).

The entire time I was making it, I was thinking of CD and this thread.

Just as I pulled out the camera to take a pic of the plates, the cat jumps up on the counter and the wife walks in wondering why I'm taking photos of dinner with the cat.

Frozen chips are from Bosco's, round the corner. Beans are Branston and 3 minutes in the microwave and bosh.

I’ve had to neg you, Shep. Beans and the ashes of what was once a pie is OK, but you’re disrespecting bean culture by doing them in the microwave. I’ve said it a hundred times on here, cook them properly in a pan. Simmer the little bastards right down.

Don't need to with Branston, they're much claggier than Heinz.

Tell you what; cold night, hungry tummy, in need of something warm and spicy, boom, my homemade pea and green bean Madras is a guaranteed home run.

Not about to treat you barbarians to any more sneaky peaks of my potential MasterChef contenders, but I will say this - I reckon I'm in with a shot.
