If you go into system settings on the XBMC can you not add the repo's manually and then install the channels from there.

On that link I gave you it will give you instructions on how to add the Fusion repo which you will need.

Fusion one is all you need to be fair and personally i haven't used any others.

All you need is 1Channel, IceFilms, MashupTV, Noobroom Channel, ProjectFreeTV, SportsDevil and you are sorted.

Other channels are purely a bonus but they are the main ones i would install.

I have to be honest and say i don't use Nav-X although i have heard a few rave about it.

What do the panel experts think of this?

This is the best HD media player you will find

True hardware decoding

Latest Jelly Bean 4.2.2 Modified Android O/S

Spdif 5.1 DTS and True HD 5.1 DTS supported

Better and faster then the Big brand

unit's that cost £250

More add-ons then any other on sale

More repo installers then any other ones seen

Best version of XBMC installed with true hardware decoding

ANDROID XBMC MEDIA CENTER + i8 RECHARGABLE KEYBOARD AND REMOTE CONTROL LOADED | eBay

The ebay site is a bit chaotic but seems to know their stuff in a quirky way

As I understand it, that just lets you stream stuff from your pc\lappie\ tablet so as long as you're ok setting everything else up on them, it might be good.

I'd prefer to have the connection straight from the router to the tv rather than router, lappie, tv. This way, you're putting another link in the chain plus, using the processor power of the pc etc. Unless you have a top spec pc, if you're doing something else on it at the same time, something might be slowed a little.

I've got a similar thing with same specs but without the keyboard. XMBC works a treat and was surprised at the picture quality of the TV shows and films.

Yep that's the one. I got it from StealthX iMX3 Android 4.2 XBMC Smart TV Box :: Android TV Box :: RetailGadgets.co.uk

There's a quad core version out soon, not sure if it'll make a difference to the streams. And yep, you just plug it into your TV with a HDMI cable and away you go.
