Well I was actually referring to the media!

Suddenly it is an issue - well, if you don't like Fascists then fair do's, but I can't really get on board if your main issue is that you don't want Fascists in the Premiership but don't really care if they are in the lower leagues!

Irrelevant to me, and one less headline that isn't about something Luis has 'done'.

Oh sorry, I didn't realise! Apologies.

I'd agree though, the media are transparently selective when it comes to pulling their moral compass out, the Terry Suarez incidents show us as much. As well as what you said re: not caring about the lower leagues, I think it has a lot to do with protecting their LMA clique members too. Theres a lot of goodwill towards SFG and the media won't need any excuses to castigate the club that put him out on his arse.

There was an iteresting item on Sky News a couple of days ago. An anti facism in football person was being interviewed about Di Canio. The newsman asked if there would be similar objections if Di Canio has claimed to be a communist. Her reply was based on the horrors of facism, which is fair enough.

However in terms of killing people, communists like Mao and Stalin were in a league of their own. Is facism linked to Hitler in a way that communism is not linked to Mao? Whatever the answer, I am not sure that there would have been a similar outcry.

Not sure completely, but I think that Fascism originated in Italy, pretty certain it outdates Nazism so it may well have a different meaning within Italy. Lets face it, the Daily Mail supported Mosley and the Nazi's, and that happens to be one of the most popular Newspapers in the Country.

Anyway it is all moot - most Makems are probably wondering why anyone can be that arsed about fashion!

Italian fascism is quite distinct. Whether Paulo grasps the subtle distinctions is another matter.

Using terror and oppression is central to the fascist philosophy, but not part of communism in theory. However Stalin, Mao, and most other supposedly communist leaders embraced those methods, so they have become become synonymous with communism in most people's minds. I think it's probably irresistible for any totalitarian state to brutally oppress its population, which is why they are generally bad ideas.

Some people claim Italian fascism does not include an element of racial superiority because they held that the Italian culture had assimilatory capacities, but according to [1], Italian fascism asserted that the spiritual and cultural superiority of Italians as part of the white race, justified the right for Italy and other powers of the white race to rule over the black race, while asserting [the] racial segregation of whites and blacks in its colonies.

My memory of Italian fascism from school studies was that racism, specifically anti semitism, was always a theme within Mussolini's doctrine. However it wasn't enthusiastically implemented by the state due to lack of take up by the populace. This changed when Hitler came along and Italy became increasingly dependent on Germany for military and economic support.

Massive blunder by the Sunderland board. Obviously Miliband wasn't consulted which might have saved them from the rail crash now about to happen. What chance have they got on concentrating on football with this shit-storm going on.

Bet he couldn't believe his luck. Perfect excuse to not have to come back to Sunderland twice a year for £25k.

Complete opportunism on his part.

Just like all the other champagne socialist twats that New Labour spawned.

And no i'm not a fucking tory.

He would have fucked off anyway.

He's an Arsenal fan for a start.

He also got them tied up in some bad oil sponsorship deal that went wrong and got the wrong side of the Ugandan government in the process.

This story is the biggest load of media driven bollocks since Suarez.

Funny how the fact he was a facist has not been that much of an issue when he was managing at Swindon, or playing for West Ham!

Swindon's an army town, and West Ham is in the East End. Both packed to the gunnels with fascists. That's why you didn't get a peep out of either place.

The Italians are never one to follow the rules, and as Capatin Jack Sparrow once believed, sometimes they are more like guidelines.

Modern Italian Fascism is about Nationalism with gripes still being held about unification. There can be little doubt that El Duce's fascism was racist- but did not stop him having a Jewish mistress.

My guess is that DiCanio's fascism is aboit nationhood rather than race, but we would have to ask him that, and he isn't saying.

still does. It's just a little more careful about the language it uses.

Of course if you take the racial element out, the rest of fascism is just a bit of harmless fun anyway, right?

I think he's just one of those stupid cunts who says things but doesn't actually have a clue what he's on about.

I'd be surprised if somebody asked him what a fascist is he could actually explain it.

It's probably not done with any malice but it's still fucking stupidly offensive to a lot of people.

I'd be surprised if 99% of people could actually explain what a facist is. Other than what they read in the press or what the hear on bbc

I think you'll find more "fascists" in an old people's home than an army town.

I've explained the difference above. Oppression of the populace is not part of communist ideology' date=' but it is probably essential for any totalitarian state.[/quote']

Agreed. On paper, Communism is about equality whereas Fascism divides. In practice, absolute power corrupts absolutely regardless of the badge of office.

The frailty of communist leaders in no way justifies anyone following such an abhorrent set of ideals as fascism
