I think they will do that, relatively soon. Read something about how their newer main boxes are specced up to distribute a 4k signal rather than just HD to the mini.

I think ultimately there will be no boxes at all and Sky will be delivered without a satellite (Smart TV app). I believe they are already doing that in some parts of Europe.
