Which of the above is the better option?

I've scanned a lot of paperwork to my computer recently in pdf format using my printer. I already have Adobe Reader so viewing them is not a problem, but I want to combine them into multiple-page pdf documents. The scanning method I've used creates one file per page which is a massive hassle as I'm sure you'll understand.

I am aware you can download free software for this sort of thing, but I don't want any of the needless add-on software that some of them include, and some of them don't seem to allow the option of de-selecting either.

I use PDF merge which you'll find easily enough through google. Very lightweight program and works very well.

Also, I would recommend you obtain foxit reader and a replacement for Adobe. It'll change your life*.
