Given was dire for Ireland at Euro 2012 and for Villa when he did play last season, still the fact that he was once good gives him something over Jones (who to be fair did have a couple of good games last season when Pepe got injured and has always come across as a decent lad but should never have been signed)

Yeah Given as a back up is no problem. But I hope Fsg won't be insulting our intelligence telling us that that concludes the transfer business for the season. If that is the case, we should tell them in no uncertain terms that they have failed us and are no longer worthy custodians of this great club.
