Seems a decent bloke, the snowflakes have savaged him for an obvious mistake. 

 

It seems a lifetime of being a decent bloke doesn't matter. I'm not defending his tweet, I don't believe he in any way intended it to represent what the permanently offended are claiming though. They are the cancer on our society IMHO.

I think he is a decent bloke but I struggle to believe he could be that naive, no way you can make that tweet and not see the connotations.

It's lunacy that he considered it acceptable, but he gets the benefit of the doubt from me because the alternative is that he is a vile nasty racist, and I do not think that. A bit dumb for doing it, yes. I've posted things in the past and then realised quickly afterwards that it could be taken the wrong way and edited it. 

 

And I'm not actually a fan of Danny Baker. 

 

I chose not to post the offending tweet because if it is considered racist and offensive then it shouldn't be acceptable to reproduce it here.

He's quite good on the Radio. He's certainly not racist. Should have known better really, the Twitter mafia wont stand for it.

I don't like all the stuff he's done but I do enjoy his Saturday morning show in small doses. 

 

When I used to be on Twitter he would tweet stuff similar to this all the time - that's to say old silly pictures. Thing is I don's spend much time thinking about the royals and until yesterday I'd totally forgotten that MM was not white. Easily done but the BBC were put in a difficult position.

 Humour from the dark ages (No pun intended). The type of thing Jim Davidson would tweet for a bit of publicity. I don’t think Danny Baker is racist. Just a bit thick. I dont think the BBC had much choice what with the public outcry although if it was someone less dispensable (Attenbrough for example) then would they fuck have fired him.
