I've had to neg you for this Lurtzy. Now I don't mind Shed Seven, they've got a few decent tunes and I've seen them live twice. But you could add up the musical talent of every member of Shed Seven and Ash, from your other recent thread, and they would have about 20% the musical talent of Noel Gallagher.

You're all over anyone mentioning Oasis because they're ' shit ' but then start threads about Shed Seven, Ash and Jamie T. I think you have severe problems with your ears. SD would have got it too for similar reasons but I've got to spread before I can get him.

Regarding them, I've always thought High Hopes was their best song, and I like Disco Down, even though I can realise as I'm listening to it that it is a bit of a shit song, I can't help but like it.

This is the thing with some bands. Although they're not the world's greatest, you can't help liking some of their music.

In the same vein, Oasis are overrated, talent-shy, plagiarising, dull fucking shite spewed out for the know-nothing masses who think it's "great music". It's utter fucking dirge but you can't help liking one or two tracks.

What a crock of shit! Know-nothing-masses. Haha, you mean unlike the cool minority into Shed Seven and Jamie T!

Seriously though, the one and only reason I stick up for Oasis, who aren't my favourite band or anything, is because I'm sick of the plagiarising shit they get. Every fucking band for the last 30 years has ripped off a band that's come before them. Do The Jam get shit for ripping off The Beatles?

It's a lazy slur that I find is mainly labelled by pompous cunts who haven't listened to a lot of Oasis beyond the popular singles. Not that I'm calling you a pompous cunt Lurtz, I'm just doing a bit of generalisation there.

Can you name, say 5 Oasis songs and the corresponding Beatles songs they ripped off? Some of their songs, and I mean some not all, sound Beatles-like, but so what? And really, even if he isn't your cup of tea I think it's stretching it to breaking point to call Noel Gallagher talent-shy.
