Another example of fergurson having undue influence on refs,

I'm can't remember if this game was before or after halseys man of the match performance for the mancs at anfield where he gave a dubious pen and sent off jonjo shelvey.

Hopefully this will be the start of a flurry of "blockbuster" books by refs, all trying trying to outdo each other, spilling the beans as it were.

Mr Webb will be insanely jealous over his Muesli this morning. He's probably already taken down his framed pic of Slur off his bedroom ceiling and is thinking of having an affair with Mourinho, a common reaction of a jilted lover on the rebound

It's just Fucking incredible that nobody seems to give a shit. All of the top journos are ignoring it like it's some mild piece of news about nothing.

It's fucking disgusting and blatant. This league was (and maybe is) bent and that drunk bastard was one of the main reasons for that. I can't wait till the odious cunt croaks.

This is mark halsey sticking up for ashley young Saturday. Check macca's reaction to what Halsey is saying, he's stunned. How the fuck do these people (refs) get away with it?

Watching that, he's not sticking up for Ashley Young at all. He's supporting the referee's decision in real time. Then he's calling for technology to come in when he starts talking guff about the foul carrying on into the box. Rubbish. Everyone except David James is incredulous, but even he says the incident happened outside the box.

For me, its not even a foul! I just simply cannot understand why its a foul. The player's legs brush each other slightly and Young falls to the ground, partly because he's already half way on his way when he's running. The palace defender then goes to ground and absolutely gets the ball.

Halsey actions are bizarre through that clip, why does he get to his feet and say " I'm standing up now"? Weird.

I'm not sure if Halseys trying to defend ashley young, the ref, or Manchester utd, though with the game being at old trafford, and in Halseys own words " it takes a while to earn sir Alex's respect" I'd bet on the latter.

The only thing that surprises me about the text revelations is that some people are surprised by it.It's been patently obvious for years that Ferguson has had a Cosy relationship with many refs over the years. The more shit like this that comes out the better as far as I am concerned.

Come now, you seem to forget that we are paranoid scousers; tin foil hats rustling as we nod in agreement with the latest crack-pot, delusional theory that United got preferential treatment by refs under Fergies reign.

The fact that such a ref has come out and admitted being so cosy as to being on texting terms with him, is merely us looking for another scrap of evidence that isn't there.

Just move on and accept it, it's what Fergie would want.

I can't get over Halsey in that youtube clip on the previous page. Just unbelievable how he can come out with such garbage.

Warnock's spot on there, for me. I think someone on MOTD last night made the same point (Savage, I think), that the referee made two correct decisions to the chagrin of the Manc fans, players and management and bottled the third one. He blatantly guessed as well because he even asks the linesman for assistance, who then says he was unsure. It really was an absolute shambles of a call and I felt for Holloway at the end having to keep his mouth shut because of the charge he's on.

And I'm not even surprised in the slightest that more hasn't been made of the Halsey- Ferguson sexting situation. It fucking stinks.

What gets me is that Halsey agrees that the incident started outside the box and the ref didn't blow up for it, he waited until they got into the box, then gave the penalty. So what he's essentially saying is that he waited for it to be a penalty before he called it rather than give the free kick as it should have been. Fucking corrupt cunts.

This is going slightly off the current topic, but something else that was barely mentioned in the press after the Nani red card was the opinion of Colina who was assessing the refs performance.
