The Torres sale was a great decision. In hindsight, he can talk about ambition all he wants and make excuses, but the analysis of where he was as a player at the time and what he would look like in the future was spot on.

Hahaha "analysis".

Did they use the same analysis when they sold Macherano before he won the La Liga four times, the Copa Del Ray four times and the Champions League twice?

We sold Mascherano before FSG bought us. How about you look shit up first before posting, bud.

My bad. Redrafted below.

Hahaha "analysis".

Did they use the same analysis when they determined it was sensible to break our transfer record for a donkey called Andy Carrol?

(I can literally just substitute in any of their other plentiful stupid decisions after the first sentence and it still works)

Philippe Coutinho will plead with Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp to let him join Barcelona. If the 25-year-old Brazil attacking midfielder does leave, Klopp will target 18-year-old Borussia Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic. (Sunday Mirror)

YAWN.

I know it was only a pre-season friendly but the dribble and pass from his own half for Salah was bloody brilliant.

It really was. He's going to get a lot of assists this season with Mane and Salah playing ahead of him.

Solanke and Salah will be class and i'll give robertson time as he must have talent and Jurgen rates him. I'll give fsg the benefit of the doubt as there is still time for us to buy the right players.

However, while i feel the club will move forward, that is down to the brilliance of Jurgen rather than their abilities as owners.

Every player has a price. Other clubs get deals done with clubs unwilling to sell. We rarely seem to have this ability.

I think Coutinho is a smashing player and he will stay this summer. He will play more centrally next season and will enjoy the movement and pace of the players in front of him. He has an eye for a pass, and the ability to deliver it. I agree he will get lots of assists, and will also weigh in with his fair share of goals.

Pulisic is a different sort of player but is a very good player. Not at Coutinho's level, but he might get there. Pulisic is more of a winger, and is faster than Coutinho, but less skillful. He can play more centrally and does have an eye for a pass, but not at Coutinho's level.

Anyhow, the old adage is true - get your replacements in first before you sell. As things stand we can't get Keita or VVD over the line. I doubt very much that Dortmund would make it easy to sign Pulisic.

Coutinho needs to stay and we need to add a couple more of top quality and give it a real go. If not, I wouldn't blame him one bit if he gave us one more season and left.

Only they dont play in the same position. And the links look right out of a club mouthpiece

£30ml should do it,not a fucking chance

Pulisic tends to play wide left where Coutinho spent most of last season and I've seen him play centrally aswell, he's going to be fucking awesome in a year or two but like you say no chance at £30m it'll be a lot more than that.
