I guess (or... for their sakes - ha! - I hope) that might be a bit of an S/T backlash to the shameful shit the club pulled with having to buy an olympiakos ticket to qualify... even if you had a S/T.

Or reading RiS's post maybe not. Bunch of spineless pricks.

They had regular tickets available when I posted Jim, city fan I know pointed it out and we were wondering how long it would remain the case until the press picked it up.

Moyes:

"Michael Carrick did great at centre-half," says Moyes. "He's played there before so it wasn't a problem. We even considered putting Marouane Fellaini back there as well, so I think we've got people who can do that if we have to. We gave Patrice Evra a rest but if we have to, I think we can put him there as well and he would cope manfully."

There was a moment, as David Moyes was analysing the "punches" that have come his way, when Manchester United's manager took exception to some of the less appealing statistics that have accompanied his difficult, erratic first year in the job and decided to put forward some numbers of his own.

"If you actually look back statistically I don't think we've been absolutely dominated," he said. "At half-time against Liverpool they had 240 passes, we had 240 passes; we had 51% possession, they had 49% possession. So if you want to talk about the stats I could actually tell you things."

Forget all this possession stuff Dave, much less goals scored, what about the byline stats pray tell?

Sir Bobby Charlton is "absolutely certain" Manchester United were right to appoint David Moyes as manager.

United legend Charlton concedes the Premier League champions, who face Manchester City on Tuesday, have played "really, really badly" this season.

But the 76-year-old insisted: "It doesn't mean we are going to change everything. I'm absolutely certain that we picked the right man."
