Just watching football focus, Alex Scott is hosting and there's another woman ex footballer and one bloke. Some of the banter from Scott when talking about player form: 'yeah I know when I played for England the pressure was on so I wouldn't get dropped'.

It just doesn't work, not because they're women, but because they haven't played at that level. It wouldn't work if you had a second division manager talking about El Classico either.

It's fucking shite.

I don't know a single person apart from those feminist virgin types (those who don’t even watch the game) who wants to see this.

It was bizarre, to have what were essentially two conference level players talking about Jimmy Greaves.

It also genuinely felt like the one bloke on the show was there as a token gesture to keep the ludites happy. Would love to see viewing figures for a totally female panel talking about the men's game if it ever happens, which can't be far off, compared to a show with former top flight pros on.

This is true.

Cobblers.

Alex Scott is a far better pundit than most of the Premier League shitheads who get regular TV gigs. Paul Merson played at the highest level, but he's got fuck all worthwhile or coherent to say. Ever.

I agree. Frankly I don't enjoy listening to women pundits in the mens game. I am genuinely fully supportive of equal opportunities but the sort of tokenism we get as a result doesn't help the cause imo. Apologies if I have caused any offence. I wouldn't want to listen to men analysing the womens game either. To me they are different games played under the same rules .

I see Crouchy is pushing this utter bollocks today that Mo isnt 'appreciated' as much as Suarez is by fans. What utter fucking bollocks.

I like Crouchy but he's either stuck for something to write today or his editor has told him to write bollocks about Mo.

Mo got some stick for not wrapping up the Brentford game so a maybe an opportune moment to have a pop , Personally I have far more respect for Mo than I ever did for Suarez who despite his phenomenal goal scoring could be a twat. Mo has never bitten anyone .

It's just that Crouch prefers Depeche Mode to James.

Not really , one I love the other I never watch.

But you have to admit that the same rules, by definition, makes it the same game. I've got no interest in Sunday league matches or the Cambodian third division, but I'm not going to pretend they're not football; that'd be silly.

Rolls eyes and agrees by definition its the same game.  That said would you be happy with a Cambodian third division player doing comms on our next game, unless the alternative was Tyler of course.
