I like Micah Richards a lot. He seems a really decent guy and always fair, albeit biased to City.

But he can't talk properly - he's Paul Merson in his use of language. His comments on Palace v Villa on Sunday were embarrassing.

Micah Richards is employed by City as a club ambassador, so it’s ridiculous that he’s a pundit as he’s hardly going to be impartial. He seems harmless enough, but he couldn’t make a point to save his life and seems to be there because he’s a good laugh.

Micah Richards is the Kris Akabusi of football.

I think that’s unfair, Michael Owen is our ambassador for example and he’s made a decent career out of punditry.

Should not be one though, ambassador I mean. Like him as a pundit.

Owen doesn't seek every possible opportunity to tell the viewers how absolutely wonderful we are. All pundits have some bias but if they can't try and be objective they shouldn't be commenting on games involving their favoured  team.

Micah Richards is a total ham.

This banterbus duo with Keane that Sky are trying to push is complete cringe as well.

Lineker on MOTD “”No team played out from the back till Pep turned up ...Maybe the jug eared prick is still bitter at being beaten to the league and cup double in 86 by the ball playing Hansen and Lawrenson ....

He's not alone in that kind of schtick, for the most part teams that have been successful over long periods of time have largely played the same kind of football, be that Ajax, Barca, Bayern or us. The successful periods always saw loads of hard working players, defending from the front and capable of playing out from the back.

Tiki-taka, total football, pass and move. All basically the same thing with slight variations.

You have to remember though football was invented by Sky in 1992 so everything any of the great sides in the 60's, 70's and 80's sides did doesn't count.

Considering Lineker is almost 60 years old,he must not have watched much football growing up.

Eg Bob Paisley transforming Liverpool’s playing style in 1974 by moving out old style centre half Larry Lloyd and using two footballing centre backs in Thompson and Hughes and, guess what, playing out from the back. And subsequently won the European Cup by adopting what the press of the time described as a more ‘continental’ style.

Which meant that continental sides had already been doing it with success, such as Ajax,Bayern,Barca,Real etc.

Yup. Which, if needed, is further confirmation of how big a dick Lineker is. Is continues to amaze me that so many of these people who have earned a living from playing and now chatting about football seem to have so little knowledge about it or insight into it.

Hillarious that. Lawro and Hansen were not just two of the best defenders of their generation, but two of the most elegant. They were so good that I would probably put Virgil in over Lawro in a greatest eleven but it wouldn't be an easy decision.

I have a memory in the 80s of Platini talking about what a beautiful team we were. It could have been on a BBC video that I had back then, but he was glowing.

You would swear that Pep's City brought cultured football to the masses. Seem to have forgotten a lot of great players and teams has old Gary.

His old Barca and Blueshite teammates would be a bit pissed off with those comments.

Just reading the pundits views on Euro 21 on the BBC website and Micah Richards says that he thinks France will struggle because they have too much quality. Can’t wait for more amazing insight like that once the tournament begins.

I bet he thinks France will struggle because they don't have a single City player in their squad after Laporte chose to represent Spain.

Their lack of knowledge is predictably depressing.....Imagine them actually doing a bit of research, like they should be doing. Is it really too much to ask? The answer is obviously yes....

DANNY MURPHY:

Declan Rice can be as influential for England as N'Golo Kante is for Chelsea... he may just be the MOST important player for them at Euro 2020

The potato headed Hodgson lover really is a shite pundit
