If they didn't want him to go to Atleti, but caved in, that would suggest there was not another deal to be done with any other club. I find that hard to believe.

They tried to block it after he agreed to go there from what I remember and it needed court or mediation for him to be able to go.

I think the court part was to block him from walking on a free - the transfer discussions with Juve and Atleti were after that.

I'll admit, I may have let my dislike of him cloud my judgment concerning the ability he still has. 

 

We still would never have signed him because he's a rat fuck who never wanted to be here anyway but credit to me for being the bigger man and admitting being wrong. You don't see many people doing that.

With the season how it is I would happily just see our players kick the fuck out of refs every game for entertainment instead. Let's break the record for most red cards in a season.
