Genesis isn't being developed any more. Exodus is the new version of it by the same developer.

If you have something called Israelive get rid of it. It broke loads of setups last week.

You might also be having issues if you have a BT Hub (and I think Sky also) in that you need to enable something in the hub settings.

I can see it in the add ons but I haven't installed it. Is that ok?

You need to disable Smart Setup appaz

Yes, I've got that switched off and double checked to be sure.

It's quicker looking through OSMC using Putty on a PC.

http://www.putty.org

Username and password are both osmc.

You can then install mc on the Raspberry Pi using

sudo apt-get install mc

Now just type mc and enter and you have a nicer way of looking through.

Delete Israelive and israelive resolver from

.kodi/addons

.kodi /userdata /addon_data

Is Exodus newer than that Spectre fork add on? I thought that was the new Genesis?

Exodus is the proper follow up from Lambda who developed Genesis. Spectre was by someone else carrying on his work because they thought he'd abandoned it. Nothing to stop you having both.

https://www.techradar.com/news/internet/how-teletext-and-ceefax-are-coming-back-from-the-dead-1326145

The BBC’s Ceefax teletext service continued in the UK right up until analogue TV transmissions ceased in October 2012. We still miss its no-nonsense approach and blocky graphics, so we’re delighted that teletext has been revived by the Teefax project.

Users can install the free software on a Raspberry Pi, connect its 3.5mm video output to a TV (via the SCART socket), then hit the teletext button on the remote control.

Anyone still using these things ?

I keep looking and never get around to buying one . I have a few gadgets for Kodi and iptv etc but will this thing do anything else of interest ?

You can make a boss little retro gaming machine out of one.

https://retropie.org.uk/

You can also use it as a Plex media server.

The newer Pis are far more powerful these days so will be far more capable.
