Real Madrid bought a player off Coventry City.

 

In the summer of 1998, Jarni initially moved to English side Coventry City, signing for £2.6 million from Real Betis. However, when Real Madrid decided they wanted the player, they successfully bought him from Coventry for £3.4 million with Jarni having made no appearances whatsoever. Some believe this was a joint Coventry City and Real Madrid tactic, as Betis refused to sell him to the Madrid club

MIchael Keane's middle name is Vincent.  (Jan Michael Vincent was the name of the Airwolf actor)

 

David Luiz' middle name is Marinho.

 

Kurt Zouma's middle name is Happy.

 

Lewis Baker's middle name is Renard.

 

There's a lad called Miro Max Maria Muheim at Chelsea.

 

Kevin Mirallas' full name is Kevin Antonio Joel Gislain Mirallas y Castillo

 

You'll have to go to a Leicester U21 game to see Admiral Dalindlela Muskwe.

 

Jordan Henderson's middle name is Brian.

 

Indy Zeb Pepe Boonen is growing in the United U21's.

Whilst playing for Sheffield Wednesday former England fullback Mel Sterland once posted a birthday card to his Auntie in Cleethorpes and was shocked when informed it had turned up in Poste Restante in Kota Bharu, Malaysia. In his autobiography he blamed the incident on the arcane training methods of his then Manager Howard Wilkinson.
