Di Matteo sacked

I actually thought 'this'll be one of those ridiculous 'Liverpool sign Bent' type threads with a picture of Di Matteo in a sack'. That's how utterly ridiculous the notion of sacking a manager a few months into his contract is. Oh Chelsea. What are you like.

The madness was not sacking him, the madness was hiring him in the first place as he is a pretty shite manager, he is in fact worse than Roy Hodgson who came in and saved West Brom after Di Matteos somewhat naive style and set up.

I think Chelsea felt they had to give him the job though after he won the FA Cup and the CL but it was never going to last.

Guardiola would suffer the same fate as AvB. It takes time and hard-work to learn and perfect, and then implement, the system he had going at Barcelona. He'll be out on his ear by the middle of 2013.

He was always a stopgap till they could get the man they wanted.Wouldnt surprise me if Guardiola took the job now.Pretty much out of the champions league. He has a strong squad and could easily win the Europa league and domestic honours while not having to repeat last years champions league win.Huge money and I'm sure Comrade Roman will offer him Falcao etc in January.

Correct. Abramovich is todays' Jesus Gil......with more money obviously. Like I say....madness.

this is great news imo, I don't think he is a great manager by any means but I think more unrest at Chelsea can only work well for us and might even create an opening for another Champions League spot although chances are they'll come 3rd anyway as everyone aside from City and United are a bit shit

Depends on who they bring in, to be honest. Abramovich is both a blessing and a curse. His money has bought them some amazing players, but his sackings have meant that there's no stability.

The team they have is mint. Rafa would do brilliantly well there, in my opinion.

Every manager they hire is a stop gap. Lunacy.

I thought Rafa was perfect for them at the time they appointed AVB, back then obviously the Champions League was the target which was Rafa's speciality with us then if anyone could've got Torres firing it was Rafa
