On the plus side, it's great to read Stoke described as a "Championship club" again. Hope they keep falling through the leagues.

Yep. Fucking cavemen. Some horrible sides in that championship.

Stoke

Leeds

Millwall

Boro

Birmingham

Forest

Wigan

West Brom

Cant stand the fuckers. Their fans are some of the biggest cunts in the game.

This is just the latest example of how our pc obsessed society has in part created this horrible, obnoxious element such as these edl stoke cunts.

I'm old enough to remember outright racism and the "no irish, no blacks, no dogs" signs when i was looking for digs in London, but i actually think that there is more passive aggressive racism in society now than ever before.

Most working class people had tolerance that isn't there to the same extent nowadays. Where once you had labour and trade unions, now you have decaying estates full of angry lads drawn to the edl etc.

The poppy has been turned into a stick to beat people with and that is completely wrong.

McClean is a journeyman but good luck to him for having his beliefs.

They briefly mentioned it on Sunday Supplement.

Melissa Reddy was really good. They basically all gasped at her not wearing one and she responded with "I'm South African, it means fuck all to me. It would be weirder, and disingenuous, if I was wearing one".

Couldn't give a shit who does or doesn't wear one personally.

However she does have a point, assuming of course you ignore the fact that South Africans fought in World War 1 both in Africa and Europe.

I wonder what Mcleans views are on the catholic church, whether he considers himself a roman catholic, attends mass and gets involved in its symbolism. Some may be of the opinion that the church has caused at least as much suffering to the irish as have the british. Hes an educated man, he must have.

That's just lacking that wee bit of relevance to anything to do with this situation.

Repped by accident.

Maybe the problem with people refusing to wear the poppy is that it has somehow shifted from remembering all who died in wars to honouring those who died fighting in the British military. The people /communities who found themselves on the enemy side of British military operations seem to feel that way.
