I searched for preexisting threads, but the two I found were both closed. I've only recently started to listen to it, and I've no idea what all the rest of the nonsense was about in the other threads, but I think it's rather decent. They seem to have their shit together and I enjoy listening to it.

The latest one - 'CITYTALK: PRE DERBY NERVES' - actually showed some of the lads have a decent knowledge about the game and a decent perspective. A point they made was about how the fans in the ground were reacting when, after 82 minutes, we were passing the ball about and keeping the ball patiently. About how Sahin was moving the ball around for a good two or three minutes, just working it through the midfield and defence.

The bottom line was that people seemed to really dislike it, and not understand why we were doing it. It's not something I've read much of on the forum, so it's good to hear somebody on the radio/podcast talk about it. If you're looking for something to supplement the TLW podcast, check it out.

I have listened to it for a few months now, I enjoy it.

Different to TLW podcast (which is equally enjoyable).

Neil Atkinson(the host) is worth listening to on his own!

Not sure why you don't think it is popular Hank, TAW has won numerous awards and I think recently won the best podcast in the UK for sport. It might be unpopular on here (and like you I don't know why), but I enjoy it and it is very popular elsewhere.

I listen to it every now and then, a few annoying habits from some of them that really grate me but I don't have the hatred some people on here do towards them, probably because I've never met them personally or paid much attention to them when they were on here.

Overall it is pretty decent and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

I don't think I mentioned its popularity, mate? Anyway, yeah, I agree. Neil Atkinson seems a'right to me. Only listened to a few, but I like it.

Fair enough.

I got it from "The bottom line was that people seemed to really dislike it".

But if we agree, we agree!

Huzzah!

Sorry, rubbish use of a new paragraph is responsible for that. I meant that the crowd didn't like the way we were keeping the ball and passing it about.

One thing I believe they do which I'd like to do on ours is all be in the same place to record it. It's hard to get a proper debate on the go via a conference call.

That said, Numbers lives in the smoke and that's where his studio is. I like the way he hosts our podcast and wouldn't want to lose what he offers for what I mentioned above.

Out of interest, what does he offer outside of the technical stuff? Personally, I'd much sooner Dave host it than Numbers. I also like it more when there's a few different people on there. I'd think about expanding it even more if possible.

I enjoy the podcast, though. That said, I'd enjoy just about anyone talking about the club.

If I can be so bold to say, I prefer TAW to TLWs podcast based on this sort of thing. It's more free flowing with them all sat face to face rather than with a slight delay on the phones and you cant see if someone is about to speak, I also prefer a group discussion, TLW to me seems to be Numbers asks Dave a question, then he'll ask the other person a question, then he'll offer a very short opinion or joke on the matter and move on.

Spot on! That Numbers is shite he offers nothing! The banter is miles better on TAW and you get to hear five or six peoples opinions rather than one or two's.

I think he structures it well and draws out points on particular issues. Without that structure, it'd be a rambling mess. He's also started to through more opinions of his own in recently.

Harsh that. He offers his time and expertise for nothing in return.

Don't change TLW format at all in my opinion. Maybe open it up to more or rotating people but it's great as is. Numbers does a great job, I often find myself sticking up for him on here. He definitely adds to the podcast.

Same goes for TAW.
