I'm sure you'll all agree we need 1, Torres will miss a 3rd of the season, Ngog I like but is'nt good enough to back up to torres but is a good 3rd choice in fairness. IMO if we get £25m for Mascherano Hodgson is likely to spend £4m on Poulsen and then will buy a striker, who do you reckon he should go for, i really dont know that lad off Standerd he was supposed to be looking at.

Is Cavalieri leaving? I thought we were quite comfortable in the goalie department. Sky Sports | Football | Premier League | News | Reds bid for Jones Reds bid for Jones Liverpool have bid for Middlesbrough goalkeeper Brad Jones, skysports.com understands. The Reds have been linked with a move for a new shot-stopper with boss Roy Hodgson believed to be keen on providing more back-up for No.1 Pepe Reina. Already it looks like the process, if completed in time, is going to allow possibly only a few days to make the required deals which should make it likely of a Top 4 spot and ideally be challenging the likely leading contenders for the title. When Man City found themselves in a similar situation they chased players that were making the headlines in terms of availablity …

I just wanted to be the first to start an "FAO Dave U" thread on this new forum. Whilst I am it though - Dave can you not make it so that non-members can see there is a members only forum when they log in? I think it could put a few extra beans in the Usher bowl as people wonder what they are missing out on. I mean, it's even got Monty to put his hand in his pocket!

So, he returned today. Does anyone think he may still leave, or should we expect an announcement later in the week to confirm that he's staying? I think he'll stay myself but I suppose it's a bit of an anxious time until it's all confirmed. Would you entertain the thought of selling him, considering his fitness record? I'm sure everyone on here has commented about this over on the FF at some stage, but I haven't really read much of it over the last few months...
