Sounds like we are going to announce him tomorrow. Only seen him play a few times but I've spoke to a few mates and they seem to rate him in the Suarez, Reina, Agger, and Gerrard bracket in terms of quality. He was Bundesliga player of the year before his move to Real Madrid and if it's true that we have a view to a permanent move at the end of the season, this could prove to be a real coup by Rodgers and co. Great depth in midfield this season.

L'Equipe are a good source, especially when it comes to French players. We were keen on Lemar in the summer. Coutinho rumours not going away. Makes sense buying Coutinho's replacement before he goes and everyone raises the prices of their players as a result of knowing we have a wedge of cash to spend. Lemar isn't having the best season, so his stock is slightly lower. Might be a great chance to buy. Right age, right position as he can do the two roles Coutinho does playing wide left or as an attacking CM. Lots of sense in this happening.

I know his legal team went a bit mad on people posting that love letter he sent about castles and shit but can it be posted on the MF? Someone must have it on here?

Really, what's the point? He is a central midfielder who doesn't score or assist goals, can't protect the defense and never truly dominates a game. He has got no physical strength or ability in the air and no creativity or dribbling ability. I suppose he is decent at pressing and short passing but that shouldn't be nearly enough to play centre midfield for Liverpool. And for 15m pounds, I'd expect a hell of a lot more. In no way should he be the scapegoat for our current form, but I have seen enough supposedly far inferior players dominate our midfield to think that Allen is a luxury we can't afford.

As a huge critic of Lucas, is it time to give him the credit he deserves as of late? he's been very good this season, and today he was immense once again. Fair play to the lad, could turn out to be another Dirk Kuyt amongst the fans (some love him some hate him)

It is clear that Roy is looking to strengthen in Janaury and NESV have also hinted the same. Now we could all do lists as long as our arms saying what we need, but realistically we could probably only bring in one or two good signings, as it is not an easy time to buy - although if we can do more business than that it will be a bonus. Therefore, let's assume we get two signings in Janaury - what positions do you think we need will help the side till the summer more than anything else? As feasibly we won't be able to solve all our problems this window and somethings are going to have to wait. Personally I think we need another wide player and striker (N'zog…

Starting the thread early just to try and get an idea of numbers and give crying cunts like Monty plenty of notice to get his ginger arse down to play. We're going to keep most of the rules from the last couple of footy drafts, we are going to start from the 1987/1988 season, 25 years seems right and there are a lot of great players to choose from. What are peoples view on the time limit? Is 12 hours still fine or do you all want a reduction to say 8 hours? We'll start it properly once the Premier League one has been done and dusted and a winner voted. And last thing, can someone on Twitter message Woo and see if he's interested? I'm looking forward to kic…

I think we need a thread for anything World Cup related. Squad announcements have revealed a host of top players who won't be in Russia whilst England are bringing Welbeck and Loftus-Cheek. I must admit, I was actually looking forward to seeing Henderson leading England out but Southgate has now decided to give that whinging shitebag Kane the captaincy so they can get to fuck. I'll be having a bet on France to win and top goalscorer bets on Mbappe and Griezmann.

Appears that its coming out on twitter as some have said on here before that someone from the club threatened him about leaking information. What are peoples opinions on this? Personally I think the club have every right to try and stop people from leaking information about what's going on in house. For fans its obviously great that little bits of information are given out ahead of time sating our thirst for a bit of insider info but you can see from the clubs point of view why transfer info etc would be best left out of the public domain till the players actually signed. Obviously the way it was done doesn't sound pleasant if the word 'threatening' is accurate.

I am going to do a La Liga Draft. Team can select any player who has played in La Liga since January 1988, the last 25 years. You will need to be active on the forum to play as you will have 24 hours to make each selection. Please say below if you want to play.

I suppose this has been sparked by that QPR documentary, and the issue of foreign ownership with cunts like Abramovich, cash-happy Arabs, clueless chicken farmers, brassic divs like The Bitters theatre impresario (who does genuinely love the club) and of course, our own previous owners, the despised Statler & Waldorf. But what do we think and know about Henry, Werner and FSG? I've noticed a fair bit of disagreement on here about funds, how they handled the Suarez debacle, their actual interest in the club beyond business and money. And let's not put it in the contect of our own previous ownership. Be objective. I'm obviously pleased that they don't appear …

I got the date right, and I'm sure he didn't say 'to Norwich'. I'll be watching this with a cool Estrella by the beach in Fuerteventura. This could make or break my holiday. Heart pounding just thinking about it this game. Hopefully the lads will be loud despite the shitty timing. I'd have Lucas for Hendo playing like he did v West Ham, although I wouldn't be too gutted if Allen starts. If Sturridge is fit I'd start them both ahead of Stevie in a 3. This is serious, serious shit now. Fucking come one!

Zico has said he should stay and be the main man at Liverpool, not an also ran at Barca, but what do we think will happen? I can't see him going in January (with Champions League and cup ties it make no sense), and I would love to keep him in the summer because he's just getting better and better with a genuine end product with almost every display now. The conventional wisdom is that he is off in the summer. If he does go, how do we replace his goals and assists? If we want to keep him, what do we need to do? We can't change the climate, but would any other reassurances help?

Go make a statement, lads. When we went out to play Arsenal at home last season under Rodgers, we tried to control the game and Arsenal just hit us on the break and tore us a new one. The interesting thing is, I think this game could go the opposite way. Rodgers has built a team which is currently at it's most dangerous when it has the opportunity to counter-attack. Like Everton, Arsenal will come here and try and control the game as much as possible; hopefully allowing us to break forward at pace - like the Derby - and create plenty of chances. Coutinho's contribution will be absolute key in a similar manner to the Derby. His willingness to accept the ball in tig…

OK, I know the chances of us getting one of either Klopp or Ancelotti are about as likely as us winning the league this season, but just wanted to see who people would have out of the two. I've nothing against Ancelotti but he comes across as a bit dull to me and if he were to turn us round, I doubt he'd be here for the long haul. Klopp just seems to have more character about him and I think he'd have more of an immediate impact in the dressing room, so he gets my vote. So, who do you want ?

This all seems to be dragging on a bit doesn’t it? Surely if was as cut and dried as the lip readers were saying on twttter then these allegations would have been thrown out by now? I’m getting worried that we’re about to have another of our very important South Americans get an 8 game ban for racism and screw up our season again.
