http://www.goal.com/en/news/755/europe/2014/04/07/4381016/messi-closing-in-on-suarez-ronaldo-in-european-golden-shoe As of today 12th April, Suarez on top by one goal from Placcy Ronaldo, with Messi and Diego Costa in hot pursuit. Sturridge in 6th. Not sure if he'll win it though, as the Spanish-based players will probably get double hatricks against Tesco Value tiki-taka sides before the end of the season, whereas Suarez has had to work his tits off for a goal of late...

I'm working for the semi-final so my ticket is going spare. Only problem is I'm working for tomorrow's game as well so I'll have to post it out. Even with the Bank Holiday on Monday it should arrive in time though. Face value (£40) naturally. PM me if you're interested.

Due to the doom and gloom that engulf us the club the players and the management. i thought i'd give us all a reminder of happier times with a few quotes from Sir Bob of Paisley. "I said that when I took over that I would settle for a drop of Bell's once a month, a big bottle at the end of the season and a ride round the city in an open top bus!" * Bob Paisley in 1950 "Believe it or not the most thrilling experience of my life has nothing to do with football! It was the unforgettable sight of Vesuvius in eruption while stationed near Naples during the war. The most pleasurable experience is football one, and came when I won an Amateur Cup Final with Bis…

It seems that if they dont become pundits or managers they really have very few options. One door that is firmly closed is the acting route for Luis Figo: Any other examples of x-footballers embarrassing themselves in trying to create careers after football?

Anyone recomend any good ones. Found this today,i assuming its from Ronnie Whealan upcoming book He flipped and started screaming. 'You tell me!' But I wouldn't reply - Other Sports, Sport - Independent.ie Seven years after leaving for Italy, Graeme Souness walked back into our lives. He still had the 'tache and the tan but a lot of other things had changed. Souey had managed Rangers for five years and had made a major impact: big moves in the transfer market, lots of controversies and four Scottish championships. I thought he was exactly the manager Liverpool needed. I was thrilled he was coming back. There was no one better to take over from Kenny. We…

The Mancs have got Ferdinand Injured for several weeks, Rafael, Evra and Vidic all out, theyr'e going to be putting out a back line of Smalling, Fabio, Jones and Evans. Fletcher and Valencia who have filled in, in defence are also injured. De gea still finding his feet aswell, really hope they cand drop a few points in the next games, theyr'e completely relying on outscoring there opponents. Now Arse have lost Faberags and Nasri, there squad looks as weak as it has for years, Chelsea have got about 6 midfielders total and they're not all fit, theyr'e having to field defenders that wouldn't have gotten near the first 11 last season. Everton have the smallest squad in the…

Liverpool sack Hodgson as King Kenny returns - Premier League, Soccer - Independent.ie Liverpool sack Hodgson as King Kenny returns Sunday January 09 2011 Roy Hodgson was finally removed as Liverpool manager yesterday. The club owners FSG acted after a strange period of inactivity in the days following Liverpool's latest defeat, away at Blackburn last Wednesday. "Both parties thought it in the best interests of the club that he stand down," said American co-owner John W Henry in a statement on the club's website. Hodgson was no longer the lightning rod for supporters' dissatisfaction and the longer he remained in the job, the more questions were being a…
