Will he stay or will he go? I've limited this to one bet per person and it is only open for the next 2 hours. It will close before then if a statement is made.

I was reading something about Australia before the Ashes this winter and Clake made everybody do a speech / poem / presentation / whatever as a motivational tool for the squad before the first test, so this is TLW's opportunity to get soppy / nostalgic / fire up the rest of the forum for our final 6 games. I'll start. Basically, everything. At 32, despite being at Anfield the day we beat QPR when we won our last title in 1990, I think I was to young to appreciate what was going on. I'm not a scouser & I've never lived in Liverpool so I couldn't see what it meant to the people around the city. These were the days before Sky and 5/6 live games a week, I d…

Whether you think it's Rodgers' fault for forcing out Carroll, Ayre's fault for failing to secure Dempsey, or FSG's fault for not backing the manager, we are where we are until January. So if you were Rodgers, how would you deal with the current situation? These are the midfielders/forwards currently listed in the first team squad: Sahin Suarez Gerrard Cole Assaidi Henderson Downing Allen Borini Suso Sterling Shelvey Morgan Pacheco Yesil I know Lucas isn't there, but he's out for 3 months (ish) so I didn't think it was worth including him for the purposes of this thread. What would your first choice front six be, bearing in mind Rodgers' com…

My mate has just offered me out. A £100 bet that Manchester United finish above Liverpool. I've been a little vocal recently, who wouldn't after signing Stewie Downing? Obvisouly the bet has no value but how do I respond? I honestly believe we will challenge for top spot but is it just blind faith yet again?

Because surely we've got to be getting close to that record now. The number of tricky bastards we have in the opposing penalty area combined with the uber-attacking football we play means we seem to be getting them every other week. Hit me with some stat vibes, nerds.

Mine was back in the Souness managerial days, I thought I'd clear that up as far I remember there really weren't many on his playing days and his managerial career often overshadows what a wonderful player he was for us. Anyway, I digress. It was in the winter of 1993, Got beat by Bolton at home in the FA cup 2-0, Thomas got injured badly. I hardly ever went to aways as I was a poor school kid and had booze and fags to pay for. So missed two away wins inbetween. Then to compound it the next two home games were nil nils against Forest and Ipswich. Hardly even a shot on target in either game, really turgid stuff. This then followed up by the Mancs beat…

..because I think a certain close member of my family might be one and I don't want to take this on if I'm being unduly alarmist. Facts supporting my suspicions; She drinks every day approximately a bottle of wine (11 units approx). 11 X 7 = 77 units per week which is approximately 4 1/2 times the recommended amount for a woman (which we all know is foolishly low) On a big night though it's more like 2 bottles sometimes more. Her first drink of the day is usually around 5pm, so she's not a first thing in the morning type drinker, but the mere sniff of the evening and she's scampering for the cork screw. The most telling point for me though is that…

I saw a few pictures of the European Cup today and it reminded me of how utterly bloody beautiful that trophy is. But it made think, what is the best looking football trophy? I love the Open trophy in golf too, but I want to know the best looking footy trophy. For me, it's the FA Cup. I think back to 1986 and I remember being more excited at winning the FA Cup then I was that we'd won the league. I love the FA Cup, and I adore the trophy. That's my favourite.

Just wonder since everyone is talking about all this great business we have done with outgoing transfers this summer. We will lose massive money on every single one of them and I cant really share the excitement about it, in fact I think its pretty weird, the excitement that is. If I was stood in Church Street handing out free money, would I have done an amazing job if my basket was empty before lunch?

Seems to be some infighting. BBC Sport - Football - Lennon refuses to be 'scapegoat' for Tottenham rout Lennon refuses to be 'scapegoat' for Tottenham rout Tottenham winger Aaron Lennon says he does not want to be made a "scapegoat" for his side's 4-0 Champions League defeat by Real Madrid on Tuesday. Lennon was initially named in Spurs' starting line-up but was withdrawn close to kick-off at the Bernabeu. "Believe me this is one game I did not want to miss and still devo [devastated] now," the England international wrote on Twitter. "Will not be made a scapegoat saying they only knew just before kick-off." He added: "I fell ill on Sunday…

We used to have a thread regarding the current whereabouts of former reserves/youth players. Could`nt find it, so i just started a new one. Just noticed former youth player Ryan Flynn has moved on from Falkirk to Sheffield united. It`s always good to see a former player manage to carve out a footballing career, even though they did`nt make it here. Blades snap up Bairns winger | Sky Sports | Football | League One | News

I'm going to miss a few of the matches this season because of work commitments starting with today's friendly. It never used to bother me toward the end of Rafa and Woy's reign as it could be horrible to watch at times but under Kenny I'm loving the footy and don't want to miss match. So does anyone know where to download them preferably without the scoreline? Cheers.

I'm thinking specifically of the MNF analysis, such as tonights review of yesterday's game. Sometimes they'll be on youtube but get taken down quickly, so is there any other sites where we can find stuff that was on Sky?
