West Ham have been a bit of a Jeckyll and Hyde team, they've done well against the teams below them, but been pretty poor against the teams above them, with 3 notable exceptions, wins against Arsenal and Utd, and a draw against Chelsea, all at home, so they do seem to be able to raise their game against the bigger teams at home. That, Felipe Anderson and Arnautovic would seem to be the main concerns. I don't think Pellegrini will be setting up to defend, especially at home, so we will hopefully get a bit of space to play our football. We've scored 4 against them in each of the last 4 games we've had, so hopefully more of the same! Milner will be back available…

Making a bit of a weekend of it, who fancies a few scoops afterwards? The queue for the tube is horrific so it stands to reason. Should have a couple of spares but priority will be given to those who want the complete package.

I have absolutely no idea what the team will be, how we'll play or what the score might be. But someone needed to start the match thread.

So here we go again, back to the proper boys. Just 9 more wins. This is my 1st time at this stadium, I can't say I'm too excited, another crap bowl too far from anything. I expect us to go back to a pretty full team, although that's hard to pick with players coming back. I expect some midfielders changing between this one and Southampton. Alisson, Trent, robbo, Gomez, vvd, henderson, Gini, Chamberlain, Salah, firmino and origi. West ham are fucking shite, but they gave us a proper game there last year, so we can't take anything for granted. 0-2, Salah and minimino. Just fucking win red men.

So our last game of a busy schedule before we send the players off all around the world to do stupid international football again. It feels like the squad is really being stretched, I've not seen klopp's press conference today, but it would feel like Gomez, keita, Jones & firmino are all missing (and Elliot of course). I'm a little bit worried about this one. Not because I think west ham are great, but they are organised and dangerous on the break - and we've been really sloppy. I'm also worried we'll go with konate again and he seems to have a bit of a tendency to follow the ball a bit and Moyes teams are normally good at capitalising on those types of m…

The inform MFer match thread starter right now. Will it be three on the Belgian bounce? I entrust Jurgen has had a gander at the goose turd of a performance at the opposite fixture earlier this year. Ibe deserves a place. Obviously Benteke does as well. Worried about any knock the industrious Henderson picked up. As well, if we are defending a lead our number 11 should be nowhere near the pitch. The Lovren Sakho partnership is beginning to form. The Mig has not done anyhting really silly in awhile and after CB9 shocking miss actually took charge and Mike Tyson'ed a cross from Sunderland's last attack probably further than the Belgian (Jesus we have so many B…

And another quick turnaround and we've another to inter on Tuesday, so I'm sure some of that will go into klopp's thinking, but I still expect both sides to be pretty strong. WHU seemed to play most of their main players last night in the cup, so Saturday should be tougher on them as they work with a very small squad. For our team, I expect a lot of changes. Alisson, Trent, robbo, vvd, matip, fab, Henderson, keita, Salah, mane, Diaz. And as for the result ..... I know it shouldn't be, but I've got a feeling it's going to be a comfortable win. 4-1. Salah 2, Diaz, keita.

Quickly, on a side note, how good was Big Andy's second goal at the weekend? There has been virtually fuck all said about it as well. If Suarez did it, we'd call him a genius, and if Van Persie or Bale did it, the whole country would hail them a genius. Great finish. I fully expect us to go out and win this comfortably. West Ham are home-and-dry regards safety and I get the feeling this will play out as one of those 'end of season' games. Saying that, Everton are away to Spurs around the same time as this kicks off, so we really don't want to be slipping up as I don't expect them to win there and we need to be as close as possible to them, if not ahead of them, co…

What are people's thoughts on them taking legal action over the FA upholding the Carroll red card? Have to say my reaction when I heard about it was "You go girl!!" That suspension is a fucking joke and I'm glad someone is taking a stand against the FA. I just wish we'd done the same with Suarez after the Evra thing. Gonna be interesting to see how it plays out, as much as I don't like Sullivan and Gold, I hope they wipe the floor with the FA.

Thread on the FF got me thinking over a few pints and a nice long hot bath. & yes i've come out all wrinkled but with no shrinkage before anyone asks. I went with needing 1 left back, 1 centre back, 1 centre mid, 1 right sided forward, 1 left sided forward & a sub/alternative striker. Without wanting this to go all Championship Manager or whatever its called nowadays in its poor mans modern version. Who do you thik would be good, realistic potential purchases to improve the team. The new owners have said they'll invest but wisely i.e without beign stupid. Lets face it you'd be a fucking idiot to spend £300m on something with thinking about spendi…

As some of you know I was due to start as a football commentator this week. What a feeling that is to have that pressure and that power for so long, 45 minutes is a long time. I can't wait to do it again. Oh yeah, here is a short clip from tonight's French game with me behind the microphone (in Danish). Bordeaux stjal sejren i overtiden | TV 2 SPORT

Gael Clichy interview from the Guardian ""I feel like I want to move to a new club every season," Gaël Clichy says as he leans forward and looks straight at me with a deliberately earnest face. He allows that strange sentence to hang in the air just long enough to get the brain cells whirring and then, breaking his pause with perfect timing, Clichy shrugs in amusement. "Each time I go to a new club I win the title." He then laughed. "So probably that's what I should do." We're deep into an interview as involving as it is relaxed and Clichy has just completed a detailed comparison between the two Premier League titles he has won - each coming in his first season with,…

This season has been fucking brilliant with its many fantastic goals, performances and results. However the biggest sign of how good it's been is how disappointing it feels to miss out by two points and finish second. This manager is the real deal and we have more top class players than we've had in years. Now we need to kick on. Happily, I think we will this time. The club just feels like it's ready. Come on you Reds!!!

Pauls post in the Carroll thread really brought it home for me, http://www.liverpoolway.co.uk/forum/members-forum/107452-andy-carroll-39.html#post3273818 and I think this issue deserves it's own thread. I've often pondered our buying policy down the years and there a couple of posts in the Carroll thread that gives a good indication for how we've become what we are today. For me, and not even taking into account the sell on fee, Torres was the last truly value for money player we bought. A couple of people have mentioned Suarez but I'm still not convinced he's worth what we paid. Sure he shows pieces of brilliance here and there but for me he's just not consistent…

If such a thing is possible. There track record is one of being winners but within certain constraints. What do you think they are currently thinking about their investment at this moment in time. They publicly stated they expected LFC to be in the top 4 this season but maybe misunderstood the strength of the other 5 teams. Who will they hold responsible for the way the transfer money was spent this summer if anyone. What is their contingency plan for not playing CL football next season I would presume that someone could give them a logical explanation for us only finishing 6th this season but being 7 points behind Newcastle after taking their supp…
