Thought I'd start a thread on this as a few of you have asked about it. Basically, anyone who has access to this forum should not be seeing any ads. Subscribers are ad free, so if you are seeing them it's because of the theme you have selected. Go to the bottom of the page and select TLW Subscribers theme. Then you shouldn't be getting any ads showing. Any problems, either post in here or send me a PM.

that was the quote by Souness in the early 1980's and that was what we now need to aspire to. btw - have we ever had a better spine than Hansen-Souness-Dalglish - simply frightening.

A mate of mine who’s a city fan is ranting this morning that our win was deemed more dramatic than theirs in the press. ive sent him the link to the IPCC and he’s called me pathetic. Ha, I’ll show him how pathetic I can be! Anyone know where I can get him one of those ‘Rent free’ T-shirt’s?

Anybody else read this? Enke's the German keeper (on course to perhaps be their no.1 at the 2010 World Cup) who killed himself in 2009. It's a hell of a read, albeit absolutely heartbreaking in parts. A fascinating insight into the realities of depression, as well as a glimpse into the isolation of footballers - particularly those who go abroad at such young ages (Enke's first fight with clinical depression came about when Van Gaal bombed him out of Barca). I can't recommend the book highly enough, I really can't. It's not only an eye-opener on just how dehabilitating depression can be (even now though, I don't think it's something someone who hasn't suffer…

How much longer do we have to stomach this chant before the football authorities condemn this behaviour? Or is it just banter and Man Utd, Chelsea and Everton fans are only joking? Everybody knows what the song means yet the Fa or press never do anything about it.

Don't know everything about this but from what I gather: it was written by Paul Tyrrell whilst he was at LFC (in some capacity, I think communications director), under Hicks and Gillet. I assume it was written for them, or other senior members at the club. Its basically some kind of 'dossier' in which he debases popular LFC writers/fans/commentators whom he terms 'radicals' and likened to Khmer Rouge. Its some fucking weird brief for the senior fuckwits at the club (at the time), the reason for which I'm not sure but is apparently going to come out in the next week. Anyway, the 'dossier' got leaked online this week and i've linked it below. Just thought i'd share it s…

Seeing as we have now found out that quite a lot of things such as corners, crosses, pace, Benjani, Ebanks-Blake and a host of other mediocre frontmen scare our Martin; I propose that we look to change the rep statement to something more worthy of the lofty green. Any ideas?

OK, right. I'd like to discuss this, and I feel that it's less likely that I will spontaneously combust while doing so in here, rather than the FF. I've seen this statement written plenty of times in the last couple of years, and it isn't just in the mentalist spackland that is RAWK. It's popping up all over the place. Usually in threads about how fucking Aquilani and/or Lucas should be playing in the first team. Gerrard is undisciplined. Gerrard has no tactical intelligence (yes, that's usually a pro-lucas RAWK scoper argument) Gerrard leaves gaps. Gerrard jumps into tackles. Gerrard can't "keep it simple" What the fuck is going on here? Because Benitez p…

We haven't heard or seen sight nor sound of that fat headed cunt since the day he had that "interview" on Sky Sports News. What is he up to? Is he lying in wait, waiting for the new LFC board to be formed? Does he have something lined up? Is he simply licking his wounds? Or does he knows he's about as likely to win as I am to shag Cheryl Tweedy at about 3pm this afternoon? All I know is that I can say this: -£75m? Mill Financial won't like that. *sips from LFC mug*

We can only hope... Gordon Taylor future as PFA chief executive in the balance following gambling allegations Telegraph Sport understands that Taylor's fate lies in the hands of the PFA's 12-man management committee of current and former players, who were expected to be asked to decide whether he continues to lead the organisation after he was accused of being a serial gambler in The Sun newspaper. Taylor and the PFA maintained their silence on Wednesday night following the story, which appeared to put the 68-year-old's £1 million-a-year job at risk, following a summit meeting at its Manchester headquarters. However, an announcement is expected on Th…

Saw this earlier and thought could be interesting. Well? Personally, I’d still plump for the 08/09 starting 11. Great defensively, great in midfield, although I don’t feel the attacking options were as good in that side. I do think the overall squad this season is better now. If we need to make a change, we won’t be relying on bums like El Zhar or Dossenna. I do think the 18/19 starting 11 has potential to be better though. Alisson, Keita, even TAA, Robertson & VVD haven’t done it for as many seasons yet to be considered on the level of Reina, Gerrard or Carragher......but them well could do.
