Could someone please delete my 'pay cut dilemma' thread off the gf. I've just been dragged onto the office over it. Thanks.

I'd like to win this gamee. Yes-sir-eee. That would be lovely. I'd give Kuyt a rest though and put Cole back in if he's fit as rumoured. And I'd stick Ngog up top with Torres Gerrard and Raul in the middle and Maxi on the left swapping with Cole. Kelly at RB and anyone at all at left back. I'm not quite sure if the midfield and attack would work actually, so scrap that and just stick Stevie off Torres and Lucas and Raul in the middle. I'd play Cole though.

Curious if anyone is following how our loaned out players are doing? In particular interested in Insua, Ayala and Aquilani.

1 - In the "Search" tab, select "Advanced Search" without typing anything into the search field. 2 - Type your (current) username in the "Username" field. 3 - Sort results by "Last Posting Date". 4 - Sort results into "Ascending Order". 5 - Select "Show Results As Posts". The first post listed should be your very first, and your joining date should help in this respect. In my case, my very first post was this http://www.liverpoolway.co.uk/forum/ff-football-forum/77337-telegraph-piece-about-our-youngsters.html#post1645575 under my original, cringworthy username of "kopaloadofthis". I just wanted to see if there's been any seismic shift in ei…

Just watching the Spurs v Sunderland match and it is really hard to distinguish the shirts. They both have dark shorts (dark blue and black) and because their is so much white in the sunderland shirts, they both look light. It as the same on saturday for United v Wolves, red and orange (or burnt cheese or whatever the fuck they call it). When you think we had to play in white socks against Pompey, when socks are the last thing you look for to recognise a team. There isn't actually a question in this thread, or even a pint to it. I'm just pissed off with it.

Now this isn't exactly the find of the century but anyway thought I' share what I've been doing. At the moment hills are offering 10% bonus on 5 teamers, 20% on 6 30% on 7 and 40% on 8. So here's what I've been doing a five or 6 teamer with the teams I fancy then throw in two teams that are complete odds on and are as a cert as it gets like Real and Barca to boost it up to an 8 team an get the 40% bonus. Now I know that's obvious but just thought i'd share incase anyone hadn't thought of it, best ofluck.

I suppose we'll get the usual "This journo knows fuck all", and "This is bolox, Pepe would go no where" stuff as it's not good news, but there is a very real chance he will go now. We would be burying our heads in the sand if we think one of the top 3 'keepers in the world is going to continue at a club that can't challenge for titles. Also very worrying that he doesn't want to go back to Spain. I doubt he'd go to the Mancs, so Arsenal must be a very real possibility. John W Henry really has his work cut out for him. I'm all for the long term plan but there needs to be signs short term also that we can at least challenge for cups and get back in the CL if we are to h…

Tony Pulis has brought this up again. I just don't see how a "Ref League" would work in practice. Who would decide if a 50/50 decision was right or not? A panel? Who would the panel be made up of? Former players? Former refs? Would there be enough referees agree to this or would some leave due to the added pressure on what is already the most thankless job in football? The thing about refereeing is that until they bring in Video Technology it's all very subjective. We see week in week out that one ref would send a man off for a challenge that the next ref would just give out a yellow card. I don't think refereeing can ever be regulated to a point which woul…

The dust had barely settled after Liverpool’s vanquishing of Chelsea when John W. Henry delivered his succinct verdict on his new team’s display: “An indication of what can happen when this group comes together as one? The second goal was perfection. Learnt what a very clean sheet is.” The rhetorical question Henry posed offered an insight into his take on the club he bought for £300 million little more than three weeks ago, chief among them being that he feels that unity, or rather a lack of it, has hitherto been a problem. But in a single performance against the champions and league leaders, he realised that the potential of Roy Hodgson’s squad, when not undermined by …

Reina ---------- Kelly Wilson Agger Carra Kyriakos Skrtel ------------ Johnson Lucas Gerrard Cole (he will get better) Mierles Shelvey Kuyt ----------------------- Torres Ngog (sub player) Now that 16 players and id sell everyone else and improve the squad from there Is there anyon from that list you would sell or more importantly keep. I see no point in keeping players like Maxi and Jovo who wont be making the first 11 especially with new players arriving.

Seville-Valencia on sky sports 2. Half an hour in and been decent so far but a fuckin' joke of a red for Valencia's Topal. The commentator was banging on about it looking an awful challenge when first seen but it just looked like it did on the replay, he turned his back and put in fuck all of a challenge. Valencia are countering well with Mata conducting things.

Doesn't seem to be getting much of a look in at Spurs with the likes of Modric, VdV, Lennon, Bale, Huddlestone etc. ahead of him. Could we prize him away from them for a reasonable fee? He's very experienced but still quite young. He's too good to be languishing on the bench.

Looking forward to this after yesterday. Wonder if Roy will pick the same team again? Guess that will depend on the fitness and health of Johnson / Soto - but maybe isn't depend on that after the performance yesterday. I think I'd play the same team, same tactics and hope we can keep on this good run. Any news on the fitness and health of Johnson and Soto?

What do people think of him? In an ideal world, we'd have signed a younger full-back who's going to make the position his own for years to come, but I think he's a steady enough player, who's improving after a shaky start. Probably not good enough to start every week if we want to challenge for the league, but I'm more than happy having him as a squad player. Also (and definitely not the reason I started this thread), I saw him on Allerton Road before. I was waiting for the bus by the Costa Coffee, and he parked nearby in his Range Rover. Went over and said hello, and told him he had a great game yesterday, and asked him how he was settling in. He said that he was get…

It's a bit of a gripe of mine this. Why hasn't there been a song for Roy yet? Fair enough people have their doubts, and I have a few of my own. But previous managers in my memory have never had to wait this long for a song on the Kop. I remember travelling to Wrexham for Rafa's first ever game and hearingthe rousing rendition of his song. I tried to get a few started in the Europa League 1st round, but no one was having it. I know people have doubts, but he's turned around a desperate situation. Thoughts...

Quotes only seem to be carried by Buxton's ClickLiverpool but they do purport to be Roy quotes: "Agger is long-term. They can't put a date on it. So it could be very long-term. "At the moment he can't train, he has just got to rest and wait for the next time he goes to see the specialist again. "They are very anxious that bone doesn't form. It is a calcification issue and training would certainly accelerate the calcification. "Now they have to wait and hope the body breaks down the calcifying elements before he can even think about training again."

Anyone know of any sites where you consistently get links to download matches? I'm looking for yesterday's game. Sky coverage. I've got the match but can't find the prematch, halftime and full time analysis in the studio. If anyone's got a link please send it my way. Would be much appreciated and ofcourse repped. Got the match itself off thebox. Looked into soccerpulse and milanakakabaros/footylounge for the analyses but no luck.

Looks the part to me. I would like to see him keep his place at right back and let Johnson either pay further forward or compete to get it back.

As a huge critic of Lucas, is it time to give him the credit he deserves as of late? he's been very good this season, and today he was immense once again. Fair play to the lad, could turn out to be another Dirk Kuyt amongst the fans (some love him some hate him)
