Well we have plenty of options now, not going to be easy predicting these line ups. I think the one question that needs answering for this game is - which right backs do we have fit? Johnson and Kelly, both have injuries. If they are fit, I think we might play three at the back. But if they are injured and we go with Flanagan or Skrtel at right back, then I think we'll go with four at the back. We'll have to see who comes back fit from the Internationals, but assuming we have no injuries, I wouldn't start Carroll over Kuyt. Kuyt was very good upfrot last season with Suarez and he was boss against Bolton. Stoke will have Crouch, who is always tough to play …

Lots and lots and lots of talk that he's off to the MLS. Seems there may be some press stuff tomorrow. I know we've another Stevie thread but there seems to be something to this. And I'm a maverick living life by my own rules.

Whenever that happens to be Actually its quite a tough one. If we decide to make the change at the end of October which may be forced on us if performances and results dont go our way then the first decision is either to appoint someone straight away or put in Kenny till the end of the season when hopefully you would have more of a choice. Lets look at some of the candidates JOSE MOURINHO Well if you want to win the PL he is the stand out title but certainly wouldnt come to anfield mid season but if he wins the CL with Real this season he might quit why the going is good. MARCEL LIPPI & GUS HIDDINK Next best choice on abillity however this …

Full strength, 1st team well rested, a must win game for Rodgers as if we don't 2 wins from 11 is relegation form. We won 3 times there in 2011 so we have a chance.

I think we need a thread for anything World Cup related. Squad announcements have revealed a host of top players who won't be in Russia whilst England are bringing Welbeck and Loftus-Cheek. I must admit, I was actually looking forward to seeing Henderson leading England out but Southgate has now decided to give that whinging shitebag Kane the captaincy so they can get to fuck. I'll be having a bet on France to win and top goalscorer bets on Mbappe and Griezmann.

How far has Rodgers team come from our last league game there? I would go with the same team as Tuesday. Their defence is weak, especially Lugano who is the slowest defender in the league. Reasonably strong in Midfield, but with Anelka and Anichebe up front, they have fuck all to offer. Their best player is that Berahino kid and Pepe Mel hasn't started him yet. Or Sessegnon for that matter. It's funny, I'd be more worried if he started Sessegnon and Berahino but he will probably go for Anelka and Anichebe or just one of the latter two. Saido Berahino 8 Morgan Amalfitano 2 Nicolas Anelka 2 Chris Brunt 2 Gareth McAuley 2 Stéphane Sessegnon 2 I have…

As a promotion to try and shift some t shirts and to get a bit of interest in the new TLW Instagram account, I'm giving away a free Jan Molby t-shirt on there. Thing is, I can't really do that in all good conscience knowing that it's you guys on here who pay to keep me in a job by supporting the site. I don't tell you this enough, but I love and appreciate you all, but actions speak louder than words so I'm giving a free t shirt away on here each month to one of you random MF'ers, starting right now. And the first winner is..... *drum roll* .... this guy, a supreme lurker. I'll send a PM now to get the relevant details and choice of t-shirt etc And befo…

Does anyone fancy doing a private league on the premier league site? The differencevis that each player can only be picked once.Ill run it and the picks can be made similar to the drafts that have been run this year.No player values will be used.Just draft your 14 players and ill do the donkey work of working out the weekly points. Set your team and subs order. If a player plays no part in the game ill add the first listed sun in.The only difference will be on weeks containing two games where ill only add a sub if a player takes no part in either game. Id prefer to run it as a private league and using the rules and money they set. We just draft the players …

I suppose this has been sparked by that QPR documentary, and the issue of foreign ownership with cunts like Abramovich, cash-happy Arabs, clueless chicken farmers, brassic divs like The Bitters theatre impresario (who does genuinely love the club) and of course, our own previous owners, the despised Statler & Waldorf. But what do we think and know about Henry, Werner and FSG? I've noticed a fair bit of disagreement on here about funds, how they handled the Suarez debacle, their actual interest in the club beyond business and money. And let's not put it in the contect of our own previous ownership. Be objective. I'm obviously pleased that they don't appear …

Appears that its coming out on twitter as some have said on here before that someone from the club threatened him about leaking information. What are peoples opinions on this? Personally I think the club have every right to try and stop people from leaking information about what's going on in house. For fans its obviously great that little bits of information are given out ahead of time sating our thirst for a bit of insider info but you can see from the clubs point of view why transfer info etc would be best left out of the public domain till the players actually signed. Obviously the way it was done doesn't sound pleasant if the word 'threatening' is accurate.

May as well start a wee thread in here also as the other will go nuts at some point. So what do we think? A serious bid or not? He doesn't seem to want to deal with them at all which will no doubt cause immediate disagreement and a probable reluctance by the yanks to sell to him. Can't help but feel the once bitten thing and so assume this is all pie in teh sky again.

Seeing we won with my Reading match thread, I'll see if I can keep the run going. Looking forward to the game. They'll fancy they're chances but we'll fancy ours as well. Pending fitness: Reina / Jones Wisdom Skrtel Agger Johnson / Downing / Enrique Gerrard Allen Shelvey Sterling Suarez Assaidi / Suso Personally I'd play try & let Downing build on last night if Johnson is out & start Assaidi over Suso but we'll see. Sterling (and Suso if he plays) are guarenteed to be in for a rough ride. C'MON REDS

So who's out missing then? Allen, Sakho, Enrique all still on the sidelines? Any news on Johnson, Flanagan, Agger or Sturridge?

I'm surprised there's no match thread when we have a derby in two days, is that because we're all dreading it and trying to put it to the back of our minds? Or are we all too busy bitching about the distinct lack of transfer activity when the team is crying out for reinforcements? Given Everton's impressive form recently and our woeful showing, particularly first half against Villa, I have to say I'm not especially optimistic. However talking to my blue mate yesterday, he reckons they have been far from brilliant recently and was scathing about their last game against West Brom. He reckons Lukaku has been pretty awful for the last half a dozen matches and was actually…

We need to make a big statement. a point is an absolute must. A win would be briliant. Don't care how we do it, but a result is vital. these are going to be good this year, and this is a great opportuinity to burst their bubble. Hope that Lallana is fiet enough for the bench. We need support for Sturridge. Fitmness permitting, I'd go Mignolet Manquillo Skrtel Lovren Moreno Gerrard Henderson Allen Sterling Mario Sturridge

I've got a 100% win rate on match threads so thought I'd start this one. I fully expect us to bum these 5-0 now as that's what we do these days. Well actually I think we'll narrowly win 2-1 with a weaker side than we started with today. Your turn...
