Feels a bit weird this being thrown in now. Almost pretty much as you don't want to rotate with the WC being so close and not a lot of gain for players who need minutes. Team I think will be kelleher, Ramsey, Kostas, Phillips, Gomez, Henderson, Jones, Bajcetic, Salah/Nunez (45 each), carvalho, Clark. I think doak will get a go too. 4-2. Nunez 2 Salah 2.

Fenway Sports Group (FSG) has put Liverpool up for sale. A full sales presentation has been produced for interested parties. FSG has looked at opportunities in the past but decided against moving forward with them. It is unclear whether or not a deal will eventually be done, but FSG is inviting offers. Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley have been retained to assist with the process. A statement from FSG, who also own the Boston Red Sox, to The Athletic read: “There have been a number of recent changes of ownership and rumours of changes in ownership at EPL clubs and inevitably we are asked regularly about Fenway Sports Group’s ownership in Liverpool. …

No stupid give away goals. Put in a hard performance and we will fuck these. It's time we stopped feeling sorry for ourselves and just get a good win on the board to chase down one of the teams above us. The team isn't so easy..I'm.not sure what formation we played in the week. It still felt like a 442 diamond to me, but I don't suppose that's a great deal different to our old 433. I think it's a close call between firmino, Elliot and Jones for the 10 position and then right 8 for Elliot/Jones. Firmino has been flat for me for a few games, but we've had 5 days off so I'd stick with bobby. We have to go as strong as we can. Ali, Trent, Robbo, konate, vvd, fab,…

Wouldn’t greatly appreciate a golden text and ticket for this please. As I’ll be on the train, knowing at the earliest opportunity would be super duper helpful. Cheers.

Strong side. Good to see Konate back. Is Hendo fucked again as he’s not even on the bench? 1-1.

I don't mind these kick off times, although it'll be shite for Leeds fans. No time for fucking about here. Another absolutely shite team we just have to put to the sword. I know we're not full of confidence, but it's inconceivable we dont win this. We've some players coming back again, which is heartening. And we can rest players up as Tuesday is a dead rubber. So let's get this smashed. For me some of the team is easy to pick, I think the question is only which 2 we pick at the base of midfield. Ali, Trent, Gomez, vvd, robbo, fab, thiago, Elliot, firmino, Salah and Darwin..stick with the diamond from midweek. No fucking stupid early give aways p…

Just fucking win, or draw, or score if we lose. We’ll go as strong as we can I reckon except Tsimikas may get another start and if Konate is fit I think we’ll see Gomez at RB. Fab and Hendo holding, Elliott and all three forwards (if fit). 2-2. Nunez and Mo.

I thought usher was doing these threads now? You can't trust anyone. So a.7.30, that'll catch a few people out who will be expecting 8pm. Unfortunately, I can't make tonight and probably won't get to see it till a rerun later as I'm at a function I can't get out of in London and I'm not expecting them to have the match on! So we need to carry on from Sunday and treat every minute like it matters. I think there's been times this season when we've been too casual across the team and that can't come back just because this isn't Man City. I dunno what I'm expecting team wise to be honest. I am sure he will want to rotate a couple at least…

No match thread for this so I'll follow up from my successful one against City. It'll either be 6-0 or 2-1. Hoping it will be the big one, with Darwin filling his boots and Mo getting in the act too.

Once again, if there's any spares knocking about for this then I'd gladly take one. Cheers.

No thread on this so I'll step up to the plate for once. Hopefully Konate makes it as without him and I don't see us keeping Haaland in check. Even with him there I still expect a goal or two from Haaland and for De Bruyne to have a big say in the game. We can't keep them out but we can score. Our only chance of winning this is if its one of those 4-3 type games we've had against them. I'll gladly snatch your hand off if you offer me a draw though. I'll go for a 2-2 draw where we have to seriously ride our luck. Salah and Nunez the scorers for us.

So we need to pick ourselves up off the floor again. And we've got some injuries thrown in to compound the problems. These are absolutely fucking shit though. We just cannot lose to them. So no stupid early goals and have them off on the break and beat them better than last week. I think we may still try to persist with the 424. Jota out to the left, Bobby central. Carvalho the option off the bench. I'd like to see robbo get some time before city at the weekend as with Trent out, I'd like Kostas at right back for that as he's 2 footed and let gomez cover konate in the coming weeks as he's just back too. Ali, gomez, konate, vvd, robbo/Kostas, fab, thiago, Sala…

I always say if you need a win, what you need is a confident arsenal. The problem is, we've got a touch of the arsenal's ourselves. But I think if we can ride out the inevitable early pressure, I think we will do them. For me it's a first goal the winner type of game. It'll be interesting to see if klopp sticks with his formation or he brings fab back in for Nunez. I think that's what they'll expect and I wouldn't do it. I'd stick with the exact team from Tuesday and then make some changes away at Rangers, give Bobby, fab, konate and robbo a go. Arthur is injured, so no shock there. So I'd go with Ali, Trent, Kostas, vvd, matip, Henderson, thiago, Salah, Jota…

Providing one of the Queen’s left behind corgi’s doesn’t die and the fixtures get called off I would much like to have the chance to see us put fam and blud back in their box.

The last fucking thing we need right now is the CL version of a derby, but that's what we've got. Apparently all the pubs in Anfield have been told to check tickets on the doors and not let in any away fans. I don't know what I think about that. Surely that'll just mean they're milling around the streets? And I know loads of lads from Anfield who can't afford to go anymore, but go out to watch it, they won't have any tickets. So onto the game..something had to change and we really need to tighten things up. The defence is all over the place, fab is offering nearly next to no protection and it's simple just to pass through the midfield. I think it's time to ta…

At fucking last. And a 3pm Saturday to go with it. This is where are season starts. No more fucking about. I've not seen anything about any new injuries from international duty, so that's a relief. Brighton have obviously started the season well like they did last year, but fuck knows what the loss of potter will do for this one. You've got to hate it when players are playing for someone new no matter what. So for the team. I think we have to go as strong as we can despite the CL on Tuesday. Ali, Trent, Kostas, matip, vvd, fab, thiago, Henderson, Salah, Jota, Diaz. As for score, I dunno why, but I'm feeling very upbeat. 5-0 (Salah, Diaz, Jota, Nu…

I don’t know if there’s a thread or discussion about tickets for CL Rangers v Liverpool but if there’s a chance of anyone not being able to use their ticket for this game TSOP Edinburgh branch (@Mook, @mgw100, @Mudface, @his lanky mate and @Champ) are more than happy to assist in any way we can. Thanks all

Hi all, I don't even know what TSOP means, but I am looking for a spare ticket for the Rangers game at Anfield next Tuesday. This is for my boss who is coming over for a work trip. To make the request even more awkward, it will need to be a paper ticket because he doesn't have a membership and it's therefore very hard to get a ticket over to him. Highly unlikely I know, but if anyone hears of anything, please let me know. Ta!

So I guess we'll find out for sure soon, but it's looking like games will go ahead. I hope they do even if a break to get players fitter might help us right now. What the fuck are we going to do I don't know. So many players look out of form. This added to our invisible midfield is a nightmare. Are the two directly connected? I think there's a chance that is the case. I'm not someone who advocates playing Trent in midfield, my view is why would you want to move one of the world's best full backs. The trouble is, I don't think Trent is that at the moment. So I'd be very tempted to bring Gomez in at right back (and hope Wednesday was just one of those days for …

Apologies to Baz if he's just too busy but it's the day of the game and we can't not have a match thread even if we are still mourning. Anyway, it seems the majority of us who said football was back too soon have been proven right. We currently look like a team who no longer believe in what we are doing and it's not because Sadio left. Bayern have also had a shit start to their season. This is fixable though and although tonight's game will be tough I'm expecting a 2-0 win with Mo And Nunez scoring. The starting eleven, who knows? Players are dropping like flies, some doing impressions of dying flies, Hi Naby. Also hoping for a big crowd reaction tonig…

We don't feel ready for this. We've looked pretty ordinary against some not so good teams. I don't know much about this Napoli team, but it's always tough to go there. I expect thiago and Arthur to be available and I do wonder if they'll get 45 mins each. I'd like us to be able to give Elliot a rest too, but I'm not sure we have anyone but milner and if we're to use Arthur and thiago we probably need to have someone as backup in case one of them breaks down. Even if carvalho makes it, i would keep him in the bench to ensure we don't hold his recovery back and make sure he's 100% for the weekend. I'd also give Diaz a blow and let Jota have 60 mins. And if mati…

Ok- so it's no secret. They're business men who want to see a return on their investment. I think I'm one of the minority that would be called an FSG apologist by some of the fan base. We're defined L getting to a stage where this could split us. Points for me off the top of my head. Good: Saved the club. Sacked Hodgson Main Stand Appointed Klopp Made Money available Bad: Let Surez hang himself Handled Kenny Badly Transfer Committee Didn't sack Rodgers (even though I wanted him to stay)

Another shit kick off time. We've had more than our fair share this season already, game 6 and it's 2 x Monday nights and 2 x 12.30. Then this one is at a shithole with dressing rooms in a car park and a bunch of rabid dogs in the stands and often on the pitch. So we get Darwin and Jota back in the squad. Apparently Arthur isn't available. Henderson is deffo out, as is thiago - although he's supposedly back in training on Monday. Personally I wouldn't bring Darwin in to start, I think save him off the bench. Midfield is a struggle though and we need to be mindful of how much we're playing Elliot. I guess there's 3 choices to replace Henderson, carvalho, milne…

So the win at the weekend was helpful, but the results so far give us no wiggle room and we need to get on one of those long runs of winning every game. Newcastle looked pretty handy on the counter against City, but in the highlights i saw of yesterday's game, they looked quite blunt. Perhaps that's the difference between chasing the game and being able to sit and counter, which they will certainly do tomorrow. It looks like that Bruno lad won't be playing, he's looked decent since he joined them and Saint maximam limped off at the end of the game yesterday too, so it would be a result if he's also missing. For us, it seems jones and matip are back in training…
