He wasn't happy after the game at all. - It's two games now that I've been on the bench, so let's give it a bit of time, but it's not something that I want to do permanently. - If I knew his thinking it would be easier, but I don't. - the style has been changed compared to when Benitez was here, when there was more passing from the back. We don't do that at all now. - I'm not going to change myself 100 percent. I won't because I'm a footballer and I keep the ball on the ground. That's the main thing. I'm here to play football, not to hoof it.

I am a massive massive Reina fan, fucking love the guy. Think he is a class act, and would be one hell of a laugh on a night out. But... the Steau match, I don't think he did much as captain, I didn't see him giving orders once, and normally when he isn't captain, he does. And yesterday, did he make much of an effort for any of those goals? Discuss...

Took a similar amount of piss outta the Derby side today as the weather did. He tired second half but first half he was superb. Just beating their players for fun.

Obviously it's another chance to give some of the squad players and youngsters a bit of game time, but I think we need a convincing win with a few goals, so I'd go with: ------------Reina------------ Kelly---Carra---Soto---Konch ------Meireles---Gerrard------ ---Babel----Cole---Pacheco--- ------------N'Gog------------- Take Gerrard off after an hour or so to keep him fresh for United at the weekend.

it was about the two greatest teams ever LFC and Man Utd and the rivalry behind them. Steven Gerrard was there and pointing out all the previous managers and in his words "This is the King the greatest player ever to wear the Liverpool shirt" However there was a point made by Paddy Crerand that he never understood where all this bitterness came from between Man Utd and LFC and in his days because of the Matt Busby and Bill Shankly connection if Utd couldnt win something they wanted Liverpool to win it and Visa versa. Basically the program was saying it really started because LFC fans couldnt handle that Man Utd were a more glamorous (or egotistical club) than …

Liverpool co-owner George Gillett is reportedly close to leaving Anfield as Tom Hicks battles for full control - News - MirrorFootball.co.uk Gillett 'set to make Liverpool exit' George Gillett’s reign at Liverpool is on the verge of ending - with Tom Hicks ready to launch a bid to seize control of the club. Gillett has been battling financial problems in America and is facing a deadline next month from Royal Bank of Scotland on a £75million loan set against his 50 per cent stake in Liverpool. As the American’s financial empire continues to struggle, his partner Tom Hicks is desperately trying to take control - by forcing through a refinancing package at…

The more I watch the academy on LFC TV, the more impressed I get with this lad. What height is he? He must be at least 6'4. He has everything you need to be a top top forward. In my opinion, he's the perfect frontman for the modern formation, 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 if you like. He's got strength, pace, technique and skill all in abundance. I have never seen a player so tall go past players with such ease. Almost Drogba-esque. He turns 18 next month, I would love to see him get a shot in the reserves very soon. Just to see how he handles defenders who are more developed than at academy level.

I know it sounds sad but I believe that our start to this season and our postion in the league, on top of the exit from the champions league is probaleer a good thing at this difficult time. Anything that devalues the business. Whilst Hicks trys to raise capital.

Stoke v West Ham and Behrami is acting a proper twat imo. I hope he gets sent off. Some decent games in Italy today with Fiorentina v Lazio and Milan v Catania. Later tonight in Spain we have the battle of the Reals. Other than that I don't really see too many interesting games coming up. Sunderland v Arsenal could have been good, but since Cattermole is yet again suspended I'm not too sure about it.

By putting his own personal ambition to manage the club ahead of helping make sure Liverpool FC got the best man for the job. Its pretty clear he likes Hodgson but its also clear he doesnt think he was the best man for the job. If he stayed in the process and didnt put himself forward maybe we would have ended up with a better manager than we currently have. In no way am i trying to diss the King but this thought did cross my mind a couple of days ago and reading his comments today especially about Hodgson does make me wonder if things would have turned out differently if he hadnt put himself forward. Obviously if you think Roy Houllier Hodgson was the rig…

Football Bet Accumulator 18-19th September 1 2
by Guest davelfc- 25 replies

Here’s an idea I’d like to try out with everyone. It’s a variant on the accumulator bet. Vbookie has no accumulation bets, which is a shame. So I’ve come up with an idea that if popular I’ll do every week if I have the time. Basically matches are numbered 1 – 9 and in that order you have to accumulate the most correct results in strict match number order You might get 2-9 correct but if you’re wrong on match 1 then you’re out. Each match will have three options, home win, away win or draw. You must bet 10 credits on only one outcome per match. Correct results pay out but only enough to win you your 10 credits back. You must bet on at least the first 3 mat…

This question is not based on his performance today or in any other single game. It is from an overall perspective. What does Maxi Rodriguez bring to the team? By this I mean, of what are we bereft when he isn't playing?

Peter Gulacsi has taken a short journey across the Mersey to join Tranmere Rovers on an emergency loan. The Hungarian stopper spent a successful loan spell with the Wirral club last season and played a major part in helping Les Parry's side regain their League One status. Gulacsi joins on an emergency loan because Tranmere's two experienced 'keepers Gunnar Nielsen and Simon Miotto are both injured. The reserve team stopper is expected to start in tomorrow's Prenton Park meeting with Charlton Athletic. His emergency loan is due to exprire on October 18. Parry said: "Peter did really well for us last season so I'm pleased to be able to bring him back to…

On Sunday, Gray mentioned the fact that we were in for him around 7 years ago (which I knew) but he also said that we didnt sign him after a protest by our fans. I always assumed that it was because he wanted more money and we refused. What was the real reason we didnt sign him? Or was Gray right?
