We really need 3 points again here. But I feel really down after that mess on Tuesday. The performance more than the result has really knocked me. We should be massively up for this one after the humiliation earlier in the season, but then you'd have thought we'd show something against Everton and Madrid, but there's been fuck all. It's like they've all be meditating before the come on the pitch and nobody reminds them to stop. I think villa are fucking crap, but we'll no doubt make a meal of this. We have to stop this disastrous home run and we need to remember it's really ok to score in the 1st half. Klopp will probably change some players round…

Normally you have to fancy our chances against anyone over 2 legs, but in these empty grounds, everything is fucking weird. I don't really watch the Spanish footy anymore so all I really know of them at the moment is bits I've seen on CL highlights. They don't look great though and seem a shadow of the team from a few years ago. Despite that, a bit like us, they see this as their competition, so there's no way they'll be a pushover. I think klopp will make 2 changes for this one, I think Gini will come in for milner and Jota for mane or firmino. I would be shocked for Jota to stay on the bench. It's good to have so much quality in the front line though it's a…

I thought I put this out now, as I'm choker work wise and there's a bank holiday on Friday. It seems an eternity since the last match, but instead of being rested, most have the players have chased around the world to play for their country in this fucking mental 3 international schedule. Then it's back for a pretty tight schedule over the next 2 weeks. I've not been following the internationals, so I don't know who's been run into the ground and who hasn't. So for this game (in fact the season) where possible I'd stick with the back 5 and let rotation happen in front of them. So with that in mind: alisson, Trent, kabak, Philipps, robbo, fabinho,…

Here we go. Let's smash these utter fucking bellends. I don't think I've ever wanted to fuck these cunts as much as I do this time. I want some payback for October. I want us back on winning ways. I want them slapped right into their box, with them baying for ancelotti to quit. Despite all that, I realise they're fucking due one. As for the team..... I don't expect milner or fabinho to be back, so we'll go with the team that started last night. Hopefully the extra 24 hour rest will be an advantage. Alisson, Trent, robbo, kabak, Henderson, Gini, thiago, Jones, Salah, mane, firmino. Thiago must be desperate to put one over these twats too. I hope J…

So it'll feel like an end of season with a 3 week gap after this game. What a stupid season this is. I wonder if RBL was the game to change a few minds and build some confidence. As posted on that match thread, I barely remember a thing of the game, but from the bits I've read fabinho was great and apparently thiago even played well. As for the team, is there a reason to change the line up? I can't think of one. So, alisson, Trent, robbo, Phillips, kabak, fabinho, Gini, thiago, Jota, mane, Salah. Wolves are a team who never really look like scoring this season even when they do, so hopefully that means there won't be much for our defence to do. A…

it's a bit of a relief this game isn't at anfield - and who'd think we'd ever say that? i am really dreading this match as getting knocked out would feel such a disaster. i am praying to get through and as easy a draw as is possible and normally i don't give a shit who we get. klopp undoubtedly had one eye on this match with his selection on Sunday. Although I can't say I am skipping with joy at the idea of some of those players coming back in. whichever group of lads klopp puts out needs to stop feeling sorry for themselves and get out their from the 1st whistle, don't be waiting to go behind before trying to step it up. We just cannot allow RBL the comfort …

another fucking game. i am hating watching us at the moment. all they are doing is spoiling good beer. so i think it is time to shake things up - although i don't expect klopp to think the same, it seems the worse we get, the more wedded to his trusted system. i am sick to death of our sterile shite football. we need to step it up and step on fulham. not just beat them, fucking smash them. so i would change formation a little. i would go 424. Kabak is injured now, so let's have another new centre back pairing. apparently philipps might be back, so he will probably play if he is, if not I am expecting rhys williams. So my team: Alisson, Trent, Robbo, Phillips,…

I wish we could play sheffield united again. i liked them, sloppy at the back and no clue up front. this will be a different challenge all together. chelsea have not done too badly since tuchel has arrived, so this will be a real test for us. i keep thinking when we pick up the odd win, this will be it and we're on our way again, but what's the chances this is another false dawn? this will also be a completely different test for kabak and phillips if they play. Kabak did ok on his debut till he had the clash with Ali. He should have done better on the 3rd, but the whole team had crumbled by then. then in the derby they didn't have a striker until the last qua…

Will this season ever fucking end. It's shitness continues and I have to say I don't see any light at the end of the tunnel. Henderson now confirmed out for the season, it just can't get worse can it? I fucking hate these cunts too, nothing about sheffield ever puts a smile on my face. and i am dreading the idea striker of the century rhian brewster will break his duck against us. So no henderson, no keita by the sounds of things. the team should pick itself, but i wonder if it is time for klopp to change things up a bit. i think i would like to see him try a 4231. Obviously we're a bit low on candidates to play that, but fuck it - surely we can't just keep p…

I know Ireland / UK is at different stages for 12 fucking months at this stage but we all seem to be in lockdown right now and I have to say I'm really struggling badly...I was made redundant 9 months before Covid struck which was cool then, but now its 2 fucking years of this stuck at home shit... teen kids going spastic with each other at everything and a mrs that's just as bad ...meanwhile I'm fucked because I cant even apply for shit as nobody wants to do online interviews and I really can't risk buses or large crowds .So I'm at home with a wife getting more & more spaced out by the day ,kids that are actually avoiding each other and my sleep pattern is beyond fuc…

This is hopefully just the distraction we need to get our season back on track. Things couldn't be much shitter at the moment. Hopefully aside from milner there are no new injuries. And we have to guess we've lost fabinho for a few weeks. There's not much we can do with the team. I've heard nothing of keita being close to coming back and apparently we won't see Jota this month. I'm no fan of origi, but I think I'd give him a try to attempt to shake things up a bit and give him a bit of form for the derby. Alisson, Trent, robbo, kabak, Henderson, Gini, thiago, Jones, Salah, mane, origi. I don't know anything about them, but I'm not expecting anyth…

So no midweek game and then we get a fucking 12.30 on a Saturday. I hated these kickoffs when we were able to go the match, I think I hate them more now - and as match day is the only time I have a drink now and I don't like afternoon drinking at home, I'll probably skip it and watch this shit sober. I'm not looking forward to this at all. We seem to be completely devoid of belief and we're a sorry shadow of the team we were until recently. So I think we absolutely have to bring in one of the new lads at centre back. The 2 full backs also look like they need a breather, but this isn't the time, but hopefully the 6 day gap will be enough - but you have to assu…

Season starts in about 3 weeks so time to start thinking about fantasy football. Have run a league on here for last few years and will run a £10 one again if there are people interested. Its the game on the official site http://fantasy.premierleague.com Anyone who wants to join this league can send £10 entry to my paypal (family & friends) which is collinseoghan@hotmail.com. Please include your forum name, real name and team name in the paypal message so its easy for me to keep track of who has entered - I usually get confused at some stage so the more of this information the better. PM once you've sent over money on paypal and I'll…

If the title is not over already, it will be on Sunday. I am absolutely dreading this. We've been fucking crap except for that little blip v spurs and the 2nd half at whu. I don't know what klopp does here to solve this problem, the players looked beaten yesterday. When that goal went in you could just see them all around the pitch give up. The mentality monsters have most definitely left the building. I think guardiola will be delighted to get a draw due to our respective positions in the league. I expect him to come and defend like he has in some recent games here, because he's seen it work with shite teams against us, so he'll feel confident if he aims for…

Because he’s fucking shite. I mean fucking shite. How has he scored those goals? I’ll have to admit the stats and goals obviously state otherwise but he is, isn’t he?

I thought I'd get this in now as I'm expecting work to be hectic over the next couple of days. Brighton at home. I'm not sure I've ever got over a home cup defeat in the 80s on some mud bath pitch. I mostly can't remember the score, I think it was 1-2 but might have been 0-1 - my real memory of the game was a goal in the road end (where I was) scored if I recall by jimmy case. Or maybe he didn't score and he was just brilliant for them. But my faded memory tells me he did. Anyway. We didn't win. So onto this..2 belting results this week. And some goals. They had a good win too today, but they're still not a team full of goals. Can lallana.be the …

Finally ...The world is starting to see what we've known for years . Sorry for starting a new thread but this piece ( & Hendo) deserves one Inspirational and always shouting: Henderson embodies Liverpool spirit Mohamed Salah’s sublime skill saw off West Ham but it would not have been possible without Liverpool’s versatile captain ine minutes: Mohamed Salah gave the ball away. West Ham advanced down the left. Salah charged back, which is usually a sign he has done something for which he feels he needs to make amends. But he couldn’t recover in time. Michail A…

Decent piece about Dirk, a bit sterile but decent... I love the guy no matter how many stinkers he had, that UTD hatrick always wipes the slate clean as i look through my rose tinted glasses.

Bit of noise in the media today that we will target a CB with Premier League experience. Who would you go after?

We've had our win at last. Thank fuck. And so onto a quick turnaround and playing West Ham and the Moyseiah. I am strangely pretty confident about this one. I always felt the best time to play Moyes Everton was when their tales were up and I am hoping this will be no different. It feels a really quick turn around - and I guess it is. I wonder if the team have had the option to stay down in London? I am guessing not with all the covid restrictions - but if we're staying over the night before, hopefully it will be in familiar surroundings after yesterday and it will help us mentally. So on to the team - just fuck knows at the back. Klopp has apparently ruled Fa…

Going into the season the likeable Dutchman seemed to be one of those most under threat by the arrivals of Fabinho and Naby Keita, yet he was our best midfielder in the opening months. By some distance. His start to the season was fantastic. He had a little dip in the middle (actually 'dip' might be overstating it to be fair) but he came back strong again and he was almost superhuman in that Barcelona game. He’s such a clever, versatile footballer. He's been brilliant whenever he has had to play as a number six and this time last year that was a position I thought he might settle down into. Then we bought Fabinho, and the impact made by the Brazil…

I'm glad to be back to the league. I don't know what I think of this game. As per the 1st match, they're perfectly suited to exploit us in our weakest position. Equally, we still managed the win. It'll be another 75% possession game. This is one of the problems of empty grounds, it's much easier for teams playing at home to show zero ambition. I'm hoping Henderson will be ok for this, although I've heard he won't be. But I expect us to put out the best side we can and deal with west ham and Brighton after that. It's a tough week with 3 games in 6 days and 2 trips to London. Alisson, Trent, matip, fabinho, robbo, thiago, Gini, milner, Salah, firmi…

I am really just thinking i wish football would fuck off right now and I am not looking forward to this one. I have absolutely no idea what team we will play, but i suspect we'll bring back in the players who missed out last night. i don't even know if i want us to win it - in fact if it was Villa again, I think I would want us to lose - we won't win the cup anyway. The squad is on it's arse and the champions league is back soon and i don't see those cunts who own us allowing us to spend some of our own money and bolster the squad, so what's the benefit of a cup run? Kelleher, Williams, Williams, Phillips, Kostas, Milner, Jones, Minamino, Salah, Firmino, Orig…
