Very promising debut from Konchesky today and an excellent cameo from Meireles who IMO should slot straight into our starting 11: ------------Reina-------------- Johnson-Agger-Carra-Konchesky -----------Poulsen------------- -----Babel-Miereles-Cole-------- -----------Gerrard-------------- -----------Torres--------------- Thats a fucking good side. Goals and movement aplenty in that side and from lots of areas. The problem is that I am not sure if we will see that side under Roy. This team should be played against most teams, at home and away. A point away against Brummie, while a difficult place to go, is not good enough. We have the players to go …

Liverpool Echo - Liverpool FC - News - Former Liverpool boss Gerard Houllier is Aston Villa’s number one target for manager FORMER treble winning Liverpool boss Gerard Houllier is set for a dramatic return to English football with Aston Villa. The Frenchman, who has been out of work for three years, has held talks with Villa owner Randy Lerner about succeeding Martin O’Neill. And reports today claimed that Houllier is now the number one target for the Midlands club. Alan Curbishley, Sven Goran Eriksson and caretaker boss Kevin MacDonald have all been interviewed following the club’s 1-0 victory over Everton last Sunday. But Houllier is now hot favourit…

Quick question to the extremely talented technical people out there. Can you find out someone's personal information just from their someone's profile page on Facebook? When I say that, I don't mean the information that the user has posted themselves, but could you attain their IP address and then get all manner of information, like what was done to Steven Sinatra for example, or do you need more information?

People on here had a good run of bashing him whenever the opportunity arose, but was it fair when you consider the amount of talent that has been brought to the club in the last couple of years? In the youth department there are the likes of Wisdom, Sterling, Suso, Silva, Shelvey, Wilson, Pacheco for instance. And if he gets "credit" for the two Italian duds (Aquilani and Dossena) doesn't he deserve credit for bringing in the top players like Torres that has been brought to the club as well?

Anyone know what he's at? Doesn't seem to be in the first team squad but hasn't played for the reserves. Did he play for the Scottish U21 team recently?

I'm going to stick this moaning thread on because we're all a bit to happy go lucky on this side and I would rather we all have a nice little place to complain There was some fella and his bird in front of me at the game today. Never seen them before. Throughout the game they just didn't stop eating! They started with a tub of popcorn with a coke each, moved onto a bag of cadburys chocolate ecclair sweets, came back from half time with a hot dog each and a hot drink. It was like they were having a 3 course meal at the game. I don't think they actually watched most of it Also I remember about 2 years ago (you know, when we were title challengers) and we were p…

On the rare occasions I get to Anfield these days I am almost always in the Upper Centenary. I come along Utting Avenue and turn left off Anfield Road, and come back the same way, so I never get much of a look at the rest of the ground - occaionally I'll go into town or for a drink behind the kop so I might see that end of the ground. When I was up the other week I was in the Main Stand for Arsenal. I was surpised to see the amount of space there is on Anfield Road where houses used to be and to see that the road immediately behing the main stand car park is derelict. The reason the club decided about 8-9 years ago that it needed a new ground was that it was impractic…

Kuyt Injured 1 2 3

From the official site: Right so this gives someone else a chance for some games. I think we have three or four very good options, that's without considering someone like Cole: 1) Maxi. Will offer more craft than Kuyt's graft and is very good in possession. Along with Gerrard, Cole, Torres etc we could see some great pass and move football with him in the team, over Kuyt. 2) Johnson, with Kelly at right back. Johnson has played this position before with success at Pompey. It allows him to do what he does best - attack, beat full backs, put in crosses and influence games in the final third. Kelly for me also looks a better defender than Johnson, not t…

Any chance of these going up tomorrow Dave? I've got 17k burning a hole in my pocket. I'd be interested in a market for the other premier league games too, providing there's enough interest from other people and more importantly, providing you can be arsed to put that up.

Just having a little look at the transfers so far over this window, and there are a fair few I didn't know about. This thread is for posting transfers of reasonably well known players that are completed that maybe don't deserve their own thread and may otherwise pass you by. ( awaits people to post the latest scottish 3rd division transfers ) For example Bruno Alves has signed for Zenit St.Petersburg for £18 million!! which is mental, and I didn't have a clue about. A few more : Hernanes. Sao Paulo to Lazio for a reported 12 mil. Simon Kjaer. Palermo to Wolfsburg. 10 mil. Obafemi Martins. Wolfsburg to Rubin Kazan. 7 mil.

scored on his full debut for the Ressies tonight. He seems extremely promising that lad. Excerpt from the offal: "On 22 minutes, Suso's dangerous in-swinging free-kick was diverted away from the head of Mavinga by Campbell. From the resulting corner, the Spaniard's enticing delivery was nodded over the bar by the unmarked Amoo. Then, Suso's clever flick into the path of Ince sent the winger scurrying into the box, only for his control to let him down at a crucial moment. The 16-year-old was at the heartbeat of every offensive foray by the Reds - and he duly drew McMahon's troops level on 27 minutes. Collecting the ball midway inside the Newcastle half,…

Hodgson admits Liverpool are in 'strange times' By Martyn Ziegler, PA, Monday, 6 September 2010 Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson has admitted that his main task is to keep the squad together until new owners take over the club and give him money to spend on new players. The future ownership of the Reds is as uncertain as ever despite a fortnight of intense activity last month that still failed to see a proper bid for the club materialise. For Hodgson, who took over from Rafael Benitez in July and was then forced to sell Javier Mascherano to Barcelona, his main aim has been to avoid having to rebuild the playing squad completely. Hodgson told the LMA's magazi…

What happened to him, one minute he had signed a contract with us, the next he had fucked off. I remember him being solid for us, nothing too special, but by the same token someone worth keeping hold of. That being said I was about 11 or 12 when he had gone and I do recall calling Carragher THE WORST PLAYER EVER, so my memory and perception may have been somewhat skewed.

Alrite folks I am working in Liverpool right now, and will also be here next Wednesday and Thursday night, so I'm going to go to the game on the Thursday. Tickets for this game are still on general sale, but before giving the club mony, I thought I'd see if anyone had any for sale here so I could happily line their pockets as opposed to our oppressive overloard wankers. That, and I'd also get to sit with one of my many special friends from TLW. So a win win, if you will. So. Anyone got a ticket they don't need?

Obviously it will change from game to game and due to a bit of raotation but for the most part what team would you like to see take the field? I've thought about this for about an hour tonight and been torn between a couple of combinations but i've come up with the following:- -----------------Reina---------------- Johnson----Carragher---Agger---Aurelio ------------Maxi-----Meireles---------- Kuyt------------Gerrard-----------Cole ------------------Torres--------------- I quite like the idea of Maxi in midfield as his movement is good, he always comes looking for the ball and he very rarely wates possession. Against the better sides and in …

So I paid for my ST via PayPal like you do, Not knowing that on the same day (Blueshite) Mrs FG had purchased a present for me and didnt want me to know what it was so changed the card details from mine to hers so it did not show up on my status. I was not aware of this until today when she called me and asked why £12 had been taken from her account for a company called TLW. I just laughed and put the phone down in hysterics. The funniest part is that the present was Liverpool shirt that she bought me for working hard.

Got mine in 1976, washed 3 times ever, worn to every game I've ever been. Used to be simple red and white, now more of a pinkish grey, and it fucking stinks...but if my house was on fire I'd have to save it. And yours...?

So, as someone who has little time for the England side, I thought it could be fun to take our mind off our problems and focus on Englands. ( apologies to the people who still take the England games seriously!) Goalkeepers. Joe Hart, Scott Carson, Ben Foster. Defenders. Glen Johnson, Michael Dawson, Phil Jagielka, Ashley Cole, Kieron Gibbs, Gary Cahill, Matthew Upson, Joleon Lescott. Midfielders. Gareth Barry, Michael Carrick, Steven Gerrard, Adam Johnson, Theo Walcott, James Milner, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Ashley Young. Forwards. Wayne Rooney, Darren Bent, Carlton Cole, Jermain Defoe. Couch has pulled out, Jagielka is a major doubt, No …
