Specifically the last one, from the man they know as Monty. Fernando Llorente Madrid's next striker? Ángel Di María most impressive? - Sid Lowe - SI.com Many thanks for all your questions. If I didn't get to your questions, we'll try to do the same again at another time, so feel free to send more my way either by SI.com's mailbox or by Twitter: @sidlowe. Please include #SIpostbag. Which striker do you think Real Madrid will buy? And who do you think they should buy? What happens when Kaká comes back? This question is at the heart of the internal divisions at Real Madrid at the moment. Jose Mourinho wanted an extra striker in the summer and was told by …

Heads up for anyone buying a blu-ray player anytime soon. The Asda will have a Phillips reduced from £136 to £57 in the sales from boxing day so hang fire if you were about to spend more than that. Posted on here as I don't want to put it on a public forum; don't think they've publicly mentioned the deal yet. Happy shopping.

You know. A fan of Liverpool FC. Celebrating wins and trophies. Being excited by transfer windows and who might be joining. Enjoying the rivalry with Everton, United et al. Because that's been all but sucked out of us over the last few years. Instead - as evidenced by various LFC forums - we've been driven seemingly insane by the need to try and become experts on financing, debt, loan repayments, and administration. To attempt to decipher the media machinations, in-fighting, agendas, lies and manoeuvering. To read between the lines of every press statement and article telling us who is leaving/ staying/ getting fired/ hired/ sacked. I haven't enjoyed being a …

Gonna post this here because it doesn't show on the searches Going through disciplinary proceedings in work at the moment. Some guy in our work was overpaid some paternity pay by the tune of £200 and was told the full sum was going to be taken out of his 20th Dec payday just before christmas. The lad has just become a father for the second time and obviously thats a fair chunk out of his wages just before christmas and to last him until the end of January. The error mind was not his, he was unaware he had been overpaid as it was gradual. The lad put a ranting status about it on facebook and a few of us commented on how out of order it was before christmas, …

UEFA.com - Community - Team of the Year Here's mine: UEFA.com - Community - Team of the Year Was pretty shocked to see Lukaku in there alongside Tevez, Drogba, Eto'o, Milito, Messi, Villa, Higuain, Suarez and Forlàn. One thing's for sure, that 'boy' is gone in the summer.

Echo Team of The Decade
by Guest LFD- 24 replies

The Echo are doing a vote on their LFC team of the decade. I am trying to do mine and it really highlights some of our problems that we have had. In some positions we have had a ridiculous amount of depth in quality: CM - Gary Mc, Gerrard, Mascherano, Hamann, Alonso... Upfront - Fowler, Owen, Torres, Anelka, Litmanen... Then you look at left wing and left back, my god do I have to put Riise in my tea of the decade? Or Kewell or Riera... fuck me! I mean our best defensive left back has probably been Carragher in the 2001 treble season. Our best attacking wide player was Gerrard when he won the PFA award at right wing. Two players out of position! …

That's right, I'm starting an MFMT (Members Forum Match Thread). The Cottagers' visit signals the start of a series of winnable home games for Roy's Reds. There's no date and kick-off time in this thread. If you can't figure it out for yourself then I don't like you. I heard that Agger was due to make a surprise start but then rubbed Roy up the wrong way.

The 19-year-old is one of the hottest properties in Europe after some excellent performances for the Ligue 1 club, earning him high praise from French legend Zinedine Zidane. Zidane has reportedly urged Real Madrid to step up their attempts to bring the Belgium international in at the Bernabeu, but they are likely to face competition from the Gunners. Hazard has been impressed by the record of Arsene Wenger for bringing through promising youngsters to the highest level early in their careers, having had similar success with the likes of Samir Nasri, Cesc Fabregas and Robin van Persie. He also claimed that he turned down the opportunity to move on in the summer, a…

A vitally important huge game in the future of mankind. Never mind football; this match could cure AIDs and third world debt. Expect to see the kids. Hopefully patches, Eccleston, Shelvey. Poulson will be in the middle which is a shame. Suso on the bench? As an aside, I will be gracing Anfield with my presence (always one for the big games me) and will be drinking alcohol prior to the game in a watering hole near or at the ground, so if anyone is there and fancies a pint, let me know.

Were Twats really aint we? I mean come on I am generalising us all in 1 bracket here but were are twats. We say we all stand for 1 thing, TLW, but do we know what that is. I mean yeah, we can read it and take in what Shanks built and instowed into our club, but to we really understand what it is. We publicly put our club through that court case. We publicly outed Rafa out of a job. And now we are publicly wanting Roy out! I mean come on Twats. ( Fans in general, Our whole fan base is not just this forum (MF). Who are we? Where is our integrity? Have we completley lost touch with who we are? How fickle are we? You know we all want number 19 but we wan…

i did enjoy Venky's use of the phrase "wider plans" when talking about fat sam's dismissal. and at least England won't have to pay a compensation fee now to get their number 1 target to replace Capello... Sky Sports | Blackburn Rovers News | Football | Premier League | Rovers sack Allardyce Blackburn Rovers have announced that Sam Allardyce has been sacked as part of the 'wider plans' of the club's new owners. The former Ewood Park manager has departed the 13th-placed Premier League side along with assistant Neil McDonald, and first-team coach Steve Kean has filled the void for the 'immediate future'. There had been rumours about Allardyce's position …

Surely I'm not the only one thinking it's going to go very very badly. I mean unless they screen every caller, and rig the whole thing I can imagine the owners being put in very uncomfortable position in regards to Hodgson. Every word will be analysed, body language etc. I like the whole idea of having transparency, I like the whole idea of being seen and heard, for the right reasons and I admire their intention to go public like this, but I fear it will be a massive cringe fest with soundbites dropped by our own fans and if the past few weeks have taught us anything casual insults towards Roy. I really hope they open up the show with a big fuck off 10 minute stat…

Looking forward to this game now. We have done well the last two games, Newcastle have lost their manager and we have Torres / Gerrard to return to a winning team. I think the run of fixtures we have had at the moment are helping us. At home we have done well for a while now. But away from home Spurs and Newcastle will allow you to play football - that should play into our hands and I expect us to win and win well on Saturday. Some decisons for Roy to make, as Babel and Ngog are playing well, when someone like Kuyt isn't. Does Roy go with form or reputation? I guess we'll find out on Saturday, but for me Kuyt should be one of the players to make way for Ge…

Not there totally yet as he seems to tire around the 65-70 minute mark, but he's everything I like in a midfielder who can play in a midfield 2. Hardly ever takes one than one touch, very good at keeping the play going and I think he'll only improve the more he plays. Just shows that 442 can still be the best formation as it allows 2 up top if you have proper all-rounders in the middle. Absolutely cannot be moved away from the centre - I'd defo shift Stevie over to the right at the expense of Kuyt, and keep either N'gog or Babel up top with Torres.
