Single bastards like me, tell us about upcoming dates and then how shit they went afterwards. Chevettehs I want to hear about yours please. I was pretty pleased with myself scoring 2 dates in the week that just passed (which may have been more than the rest of the year put together). The first is a girl called Carol that I met in a nightclub in Milton Keynes. Despite a rather bizarre non-interest in Black women my entire life (not sure why) I was mesmerised by her awesome African hair and subsequently realised she was pretty. She asked for my number and called me the next day (not sure if I remember this ever happening before). Went to meet her at her uni and onl…

Mine is the Seaforth Castle, hasn't been decorated for years, has some weird disco lights in the window, you get stared at when you go in, even if you are the landlord, teeneage girls are in and out of the place in their pyjamas while their kids are hanging round in the doorway. Saw 2 scallies snorting coke off the bar mid afternoon and seen a lot of scraps in there. Nice.

I searched UFC and nothing came up so I'm starting a new topic. I'm watching 166 now, I've just watched the Melenzez V Sanchez fight and it was bloody epic! So entertaining, Sanchez always puts on great fights he's once crazy bastard. Check it out if you haven't seen it, slug fest! There has been some great fights this year, Jones V Gustavson was fantastic and there have been many more great fights this year.

New thread for the new year. Some good fights lined up already. Joshua vs Klitschko, Thurman vs Garcia, Golovkin vs Jacobs, Frampton vs Santa Cruz II and DeGale vs Jack. What else do you want to see? Obviously Golovkin vs Canelo is the big one but there's other interesting fights to be made. Andre Ward is making noises about retiring instead of fighting Kovalev again but it remains to be seen if he does. Will Adonis Stevenson fight Ward or Kovalev? Brook vs Khan? Degale vs Groves? Callum Smith to knock either of them out? Tyson Fury is back training. Shannon Briggs is fighting for a World Title. Will we see better heavyweight match ups this year, aside from …

It's early, but the thought of the Donald Trump thread being the only one for the elections this year is bugging me. Am not trying to have the Donald thread sink, just to have another for other parties, candidates, and election related discussion. So I'll start with this, which I just found and love : https://twitter.com/DrJillStein/status/756189114987192320

Probably my favourite programme on terrestrial TV these days, it was ace tonight, Shami Chakrabarti was going apeshit about Milliband's soiled-pants performance in the whole US Intelligence/torture affair.

48% of Britons believe that Area 51 exists to investigate aliens and their spaceships. A massive 38% think that 9/11 was orchestrated by the US government. And 35% believe that the Apollo landing on the Moon was a hoax. A suspicious 32% are convinced that Diana, Princess of Wales, and Dodi Fayed were murdered. 25% think the Illuminati and the Masons are trying to take over the world. And would you believe Scientologists rule Hollywood? Well, 17% of those who took part in the survey would. Big Brother is watching - and 7% believe that barcodes are really intended to control people. And 6% are convinced that Microsoft sends messages via Wingdings…

I'm after some recommendations and thought I'd throw a few into the mix: "Altered Carbon" by Richard Morgan. I first read this in the summer and was blown away by it and am now on my second go. It's very gritty, noir-ish SF about this insanely hard bloke on the lam in a future where your consciousness can be stored, or transferred into new "sleeves" (bodies). Fucking ace. I've read a few of the "Eagle" novels by Simon Scarrow set in Britain during Caesar's day. They're nowt special, but are an entertaining diversion. "Wall & Piece" by Banksy was a Christmas book and it's absolutely addictive. Everyone who enters our bog seems to get lost for about hal…

Sorry Jedd. I know we have a Trump thread but thats usually just for calling him a cunt. This next few weeks is going to be batshit mental. How have the democrats managed to bring in someone who actually might not beat Donald Trump. They could have wheeled out Beetlejuice to beat this fucker. I'm not a massive fan of Biden at all but surely the American electorate isn't this stupid...... Oh. Oh.... Some corners feel that Trump is just about damage limitation now and has accepted his fate now just wants a clean break without any federal repercussions. Not sure thats the case, i reckon they will pull out every nasty trick in the book.

So, in real life, you have to be a party member to vote for your choice of Labour leader. But this is the GF and such procedural niceties can go fuck a baboon. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-32654262 Who do you want to win and why? (Please vote responsibly. This may be constitutionally binding.)

There was a similarly named thread a little while back but it didnt feel the appropriate place for this post (if you do a search you'll see why!) I have toyed with posting on here about this on and off over the past few months but always decided against it until now...and even as I write this I'm wondering if I'm doing the right thing. It is not about sympathy. I was diagnosed with depression a few months ago. This is my first experience of this illness and I wondered what experiences others might have/have had and what has and has not worked for them with the idea that these experiences might be helpful for others. In brief, depression crept up on me towards th…

I predict Mayweather Vs Pacquiao will finally happen and be a really dull points win for Mayweather by about 5 rounds. Kovalev Vs Stevenson won't happen. Fury Vs Klitschko will be set and then Klitschko will get injured and Fury will say he's terrified of him. Eternal optimist, me.

I reckon the Cameron "we're all in this together" thread doesn't cut the mustard anymore and that TM deserves her very own thread where we can pick the bitch apart on her hollow promise.
