I've come across a program called Paint.NET which seems to be free, open source image editing software. Anybody that isn't as skilled as Stouffer and RiS with MSPaint or can't be bothered 'obtaining' Photoshop may want to give this a go, it's supposed to be pretty handy.

(Whistling wind) (Cheers and applause) Thank you. How you doing, folks? Me too. You gotta bear with me, I'm very tired, very tired of traveling, and very tired of doing comedy, and very tired of staring out at your vacant faces looking back at me, wanting me to fill your empty lives with humor you couldn't possibly think of yourselves. Good evening. It's been a while since I've been here, it's great to be back, wherever I am, I always love it when I'm here. A lot's happened, I guess. Hey, man, that Clarence Thomas thing, I guess you watched that, eh? Boy, I tell you something, I learned something very important watching the Clarence Thomas hearings, you know what I l…

A seven-year-old boy was at the centre of a Liverpool courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him. The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with child custody law and regulations requiring that family unity be maintained to the degree possible. The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. When the judge then suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried out that they also beat him. After considering the remainder of the immediate family an…

...on ITV. It's been a while since I watched anything on ITV so I was pretty impressed with the quality of this programme. Unlike the cheesy post-production cliches made the BBC's doc about those flaked-out Swedish bints jumping into traffic on the M6 a cheesefest, this documentary (was as docs should be) sober, informative, unsensationalised. EXCEPT......I just can't see how repeatedly showing various angles of the dying moments of the girl as she writhed around in agony, is anything but ghoulish, voyeuristic, exploitative and disrespectful to both the deceased and to those who loved/knew her. I know what the justifications are "it's good that people see th…

Something for all you music heads. Embrace to do the world Cup song (can’t stand their blend of shite music meets crap band, but at least its better than the Spice Girls) Embrace Sing It For England Team Tuesday March 28, 08:49 AM Embrace are to follow in the footsteps of New Order and Baddiel and Skinner by recording England's official World Cup song. Several artists from the Kaiser Chiefs to Tony Christie had been tipped for the job - but the FA plumped for the West Yorkshire band. The anthem will be called World At Your Feet and demos have already been recorded ahead of this summer's tournament. Embrace, all passionate football fans, are a five-piece …

Going tomorrow for a mate's birthday, I'm shit at picking winners so any tips/pointers would be most appreciated. Staying over too so if any of the GF Yorkshire contingent (I'm looking at you, Ross!) can point me int he direction of any decent places for a bevy (live music preferable) or shitholes to avoid then that would be ace. Ta!

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/7155170.stm A surgeon at a prestigious US hospital is facing a disciplinary hearing after he allegedly took a photo of a patient's penis during an operation. Dr Adam Hansen, of Arizona's Mayo Clinic Hospital, is accused of taking the snap while conducting gallbladder surgery earlier in December. The chief of general surgery allegedly showed the photo to fellow surgeons. The patient is a strip club owner, Sean Dubowik, whose penis is tattooed with the words "Hot Rod". A member of the surgical staff tipped off local newspaper The Arizona Republic about the incident in an anonymous call on Monday. 'Great out…

I highly recommend this band. Here's a sample of their work: YouTube - Lesson No. 1 - Viva Voce I'd prefer not to be called a gayboy in your responses, but if you feel it is truly necessary - because it's not Sabbath - then do what you have to do.
