Been closed by the council. BBC News - Liverpool: St John's Market shut by council over unpaid rent https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-68532903 Sad news for the traders although I'm not clued up about the background. My nan loved the place in the 80s, used to get her Bombay Mix from there. There was a butcher shop with half a pig's face on display and a robotic mini butcher that used to do a chopping motion with a meat cleaver - Chucky style. In the 90s my mate swore by the blag Reebok classics from there too.

"Dont let the Bastards Grind you down make them Jealous thats if they are not already" ...Simon Green Its is of my opinion that if you have more words than the orignal part of the Quote then that becomes yours

At this stage, William could actually be a mass murderer: https://www.newsweek.com/thomas-kingston-cause-death-prince-william-prince-harry-cousin-husband-1875127 This happened at the time he failed to show up for the funeral of his godfather. He's definitely done her in too! I might actually watch The Crown in future, because I love a true crime drama!

The in-laws keep turning up uninvited and are trying to turn our garage conversion into their very own guesthouse. They've bought their own bog brush, bin and stuff, and they have started storing stuff in there. In an effort to piss on my territory, I am in the process of making this space very clearly a kid's games room. We have darts. We don't have room for a pool table, but we do have room for a foosball table. Can anyone tell me what I need to be looking for in terms of the spec? Is Scudetto the best, or is there another brand? IS there a certain model? Is there a good place to buy them second hand? I don't want to be parting with £1500 really, so looking for somethin…

Baffling how some large companies in this country manage to get anything done. The company I work for doesn't, hence they're the 4th most successful company of a group of 4 in what they do and will always remain that way due to the general aura of fucktardedness around the place. I'm always too hot, always have been. When I'm at home I wear shorts and a t shirt whatever the weather and I've always had a desk fan wherever I've worked. I've been in this job for 10 months and have been asking for a desk fan since I started. Communication over the last 10 months: Me (to facilities): Can I bring in a desk fan please? I get too hot and have always had one in previo…

Looking at last years 6 Nations thread it seems to me that there are a few on here that are fans so it seems only right that this finest of sports has a home on here. Come on in if you want to talk: -Pro Club rugby -Internationals/Six Nations -Domestic Amateur Leagues -Playing Tips & Advice Feel free to post blogs/articles/videos you recommend. Player/Club/Nation Bashing heartily encouraged. Only thread rule is "rugby" League should only be mentioned in a negative context ITT as it is clearly an abortion of a sport for Carling drinking, slap headed, probable non bean eating peados. To get the ball rolling I'd love to get your take on the whole ERC-Champions Cu…

I used to think Scotland would be making a mistake by leaving the UK but the more I think about it, the more it would make sense for Scots to vote for independence. The biggest plus point of independence would be to be free of the Tories - forever. Doesn't get better than that. There's a few more benefits of independence and some drawbacks I suppose but getting rid off Cameron's mob is worth a 'Yes' vote alone.

There are some cracking stories in local newspapers, which don't make it nationally (and are not worth starting a thread for). This thread shall be their repository. I'll kick off with the Morecambe reaper. http://www.thevisitor.co.uk/news/local/man-dressed-as-grim-reaper-arrested-1-1208455 A man standing outside Morecambe police station dressed as the 'Grim Reaper' was arrested after a drunken night that went from bad to worse. Christopher Kelly, 31, had come to Morecambe on October 5 with a group of friends from Nelson and got extremely drunk on lager and vodka. Kelly lost his mates, who were celebrating a friend's birthday and were also drunk, and wandered …

Love all the above. I'd like to get a few videos on here and a bit of a discussion. Nothing posted later than the 80's please. Growing up I can remember when we got a CD player, only cd's we had for ages where the best of Buddy Holly, Marvin Gaye Greatest Hits, Robert Palmer, The Drifters and the best of the Chi-lites. No matter what other genres I love, I come back to the above time again. So many great songs. I love this, but it upsets me every time I hear it. Lovely sentiments. First dance at my wedding. And, I must say, one of the best live performances I have ever seen. [Y…

48% of Britons believe that Area 51 exists to investigate aliens and their spaceships. A massive 38% think that 9/11 was orchestrated by the US government. And 35% believe that the Apollo landing on the Moon was a hoax. A suspicious 32% are convinced that Diana, Princess of Wales, and Dodi Fayed were murdered. 25% think the Illuminati and the Masons are trying to take over the world. And would you believe Scientologists rule Hollywood? Well, 17% of those who took part in the survey would. Big Brother is watching - and 7% believe that barcodes are really intended to control people. And 6% are convinced that Microsoft sends messages via Wingdings…

Thought it might prove interesting to put a few things out there and just see where it takes us. Like I said, random. Sugar's Copper Blue is one of the best pop albums ever recorded. Karate are one of my favourite bands and they should have been massive. As much as I love Radiohead, I still find Kid A unlistenable. Dave Gilmour's 2nd solo in Comfortably Numb (from Floyd's live Pulse album) is the greatest guitar solo ever. The Police's best song is The Bed's Too Big Without You. Shane MacGowan is a brilliant singer. Metallica would be a far better band without both Kirk and Lars.

OK. Seeing as the landlord of this place fancies a pig, we might as well all come clean (no pun intended) and admit to some objects of desire that maybe others would not find so tasty (I like bacon Dave, so this doesn't include yours). I'll kick us off with Ray's missus in Everybody loves Raymond.

My Google search isn't working in work, hence the new thread. What do people make of the Clegg apology? Doesn't seem to be getting a favourable response judging by the people I've spoken to/articles I've read on it. Seems to me by issuing the apology he is planning on being leader going into the next election, which is surely electoral suicide? The only slim chance they have of gaining any kind of popularity back is by breaking the coalition and blaming it on the Tories, the longer they leave it, the more chance the Tories will be the ones to end it which will fuck them up even more. It's their party conference this weekend, with a bit of luck he will get loads of…
