Thought it might prove interesting to put a few things out there and just see where it takes us. Like I said, random. Sugar's Copper Blue is one of the best pop albums ever recorded. Karate are one of my favourite bands and they should have been massive. As much as I love Radiohead, I still find Kid A unlistenable. Dave Gilmour's 2nd solo in Comfortably Numb (from Floyd's live Pulse album) is the greatest guitar solo ever. The Police's best song is The Bed's Too Big Without You. Shane MacGowan is a brilliant singer. Metallica would be a far better band without both Kirk and Lars.

Very funny show. Dont know if anyone here has seen it, definately a great american Import in the same vein as Arrested Development, Seinfeld and even Curb. I was recommended it earlier in the year and it was repeated over Christmas, I can definately recommnd picking up the box set. Alec Baldwin is fantastic as the studio boss Jack Donaghy. YouTube - Random Insults from Jack to Liz Also Kenneth the Page is excellent YouTube - Random Kenneth Parcell Quotes And Liz Lemon the show is boss is weirdly hot, she is Tina Fey the same woman that does the impressions of Sara Palin. From Wiki..... 30 Rock is a 5-time Golden Globe Award winner and a 9-tim…

Sometimes two threads land together randomly on the GF such that their titles take on a new meaning together. An example from today: NHS Reforms The Holy Bible If you spot any good ones, put them in here.

Bidden, Obama`s running mate stating something big is about to happen after the election. an mi5 whistleblower saying an attack is coming to the west and we cant do anything about it. And what better excuse for a global credit crunch, lets have a fucking war.

It's getting silly now, isn't it. http://morningstaronline.co.uk/a-2ebc-Shameful-wealth-gap-grows-by-a-third#.Vnch6raLRp9 The richest 10% of households have over 900 times the wealth of the poorest 10%. http://uk.businessinsider.com/high-pay-centre-ftse-100-ceo-pay-versus-average-salary-2015-8 Chief Executives are paying themselves 183 times the salary of their average workers. (Not their lowest paid ones - their average earners.) In the last few years there's been a welter of research into the damaging effects of rampant inequality, yet you're still liable to be portrayed as some kind of dangerous subversive or Commie dinosaur if you suggest doing somethin…

I used to think Scotland would be making a mistake by leaving the UK but the more I think about it, the more it would make sense for Scots to vote for independence. The biggest plus point of independence would be to be free of the Tories - forever. Doesn't get better than that. There's a few more benefits of independence and some drawbacks I suppose but getting rid off Cameron's mob is worth a 'Yes' vote alone.

Dear all, Leading up to the Euro tournament in June this year, I am conducting some research looking at fans’ views towards the role of football in response to military conflict. For those interested in this topic, I have created a short survey that should not take up too much of your time: https://doit.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9zZmrJfShOSBDDw Participation is completely voluntary, but I would appreciate hearing your thoughts on this topic.

Quite a few for me but I just realised that in Tiny Dancer by Elton John, Blue jean baby, L.A. lady, seamstress for the band and not "sings just for the band". Bit of a shit one and I'm sure you cats have much better but there you go. 20 odd years I've sung the wrong line.

Has anyone on here read it? Let's be clear, I'm not a nazi and I don't want this thread invaded by the usual suspects (I mean the political debaters on here, not the Germans). It's just that I'm getting more and more intrigued by WW2 as I get older. I can't get enough of it and was wondering whether or not it's worth a read. Does it shed any more light on Hitler's life and thinking than the hundreds of documentaries that have been made about him? Is it a boring read? Were you glad you read it? Sickened by it? All that kind of shit. I need the GF to decide for me. Should I read it or give it a swerve? It should also be said that if I go to the library to…

I fancy a career change and need some inspiration. Any ideas of some interesting careers? Or maybe just ways to make money? Ideally I'd be a golfer, shame I'm rubbish at golf.
