Thought I'd start a thread on this as a few of you have asked about it. Basically, anyone who has an active subscription should not be seeing any ads at all on the site (other than in house ones for t-shirts etc). Subscribers are ad free, so if you are seeing them it's because of the theme you have selected. Go to the bottom of the page and select TLW Subscribers theme. When that's selected you shouldn't be getting any ads showing. If your sub runs out you'll start seeing them and they won't automatically go when you renew, you'll need to scroll down and re-select the TLW Subscribers theme again. Any problems, either post in here or sen…

The Reds season is still alive after a much needed win at Fulham got their title challenge back on track. Goals from Trent, Gravenberch and Jota sunk the Cottagers in what was a more comfortable win than many expected. TLW Editor Dave Usher is joined by Julian Richards and Dan Thomas to look back on this game as well as previewing the midweek trip to Goodison. There's also a heated discussion on refs, VAR, Forest's bizarre statement and the impact officiating has had on this year's Premier League. View full article

We live to fight another day then. Defeat here would have buried us and considering the run we’d been on it wouldn’t have been much of a shock. Fulham is a difficult place to go when they’re at it, but thankfully they weren’t and it was fairly comfortable in the end. The game was still in the balance at half time though so it wasn’t a completely stress free afternoon, but once we got the second goal it was generally without drama and the third goal made it completely safe. In terms of how we played and what it means moving forward, we played ok and no-one has a clue what it means. Winning this doesn’t solve all of our issues but it should go some way to refoc…

Monday Apr 15: Feels somewhat inappropriate to be as down about the Palace game as I am considering what today is. It’s always a sobering day, especially when you see some of the things posted on twitter by survivors or the families of one of the 97. To be honest, I try and avoid it, which I’m not proud of, but even now after all these years it’s so upsetting and the sense of injustice is as strong as ever, and I didn’t even lose anyone close to me. I never know what to say either, even JFT97 feels kind of hollow now because what does it even mean? There’ll never be justice, I think the only thing we can do is ensure they’re never forgotten, which of course th…

Summer tournaments are finished and people are discussing pre-season friendly games in last season’s thread. A new one is required. We’re all agreed that any and all teams discussed in here are shite compared to the reds.

It might be slightly too early but the existing thread is far too large now and is a bitch to navigate on Tapatalk. We should have a new thread for each season anyway so I've started this thread and asked Dave to lock the other one.

Reading that a new cable channel has taken the rights to La Liga off Sky , and taken Serie A off BT Sport. Bit pissed off that the only foreign leagues I watch anything of are disappearing & can't imagine any reduction in the package fees to compensate. No idea who the new people are ( 11 - I think they are called )

The 2021 season is firmly in the rear view mirror now. Champions League qualification starts tonight with Celtic up against Midgetland, who you’d imagine are a much better team than them, based on the last few European campaigns. The number of Everton players under investigation for noncing currently stands at one but there is of course plenty of time for that to change. Other interesting things to look out for in ‘other football’ this season are the removal of the away goals rule, Spurs failing miserably in the most uninspiring competition since the SportPesa Cup and FIFA attempting to fundamentally change the rules of the game forever, switching ever…

Fuck it - may as well move the conversation to a new thread! I don't think it can be overstated just how important this window is for our football club - I'd say it is an absolutely pivotal one and the most important in many a year. As I write this we of course do not know if we go into this window as a Champions League team or not and although for me it should not matter either way, I think it inevitably will - owners cutting budgets/players not wanting to come if we aren't in it and us paying over odds for lesser players.... If it ends up as looks likely at present we are not in it, the club will hopefully act like a big club, an ambi…

Now that all the leagues have finished, the post-season internationals are over and the new season's fixtures have been announced, all general football discussion should go here.

Lower leagues have begun and there’s less than an hour until the Charity Shield kicks off. Time for a new one.

Thought I create a new thread as per a discussion in the previous thread. The Champions League summer tournament is nearly finished and people are already discussing our pre-season in last season’s thread. I believe a new one is required. Any and all teams discussed in here are not as good as compared to the current champions.

What's the general feeling regards this summer? Are we expecting a major Squad rebuild, or is it a case of we need just a few players to get back into the top 4.

The champions league qualifiers start tonight. I usually hate the summers without football but this one has flown.

Who do you think our number 1 target is? We will unearth another little gem or are we going all out for an already known superstar?

They bought our club on the cheap knowing fuck all about football, appointed an incompetent amateur to run the club's operations while remaining detached and disinterested thousands of miles away, haven't invested any of their own money into the playing squad, have made no progress with the stadium, hung our manager, players and fans out to dry after they were fucked over by a corrupt FA and then set upon by a shithouse media, and then forced them into a humiliating and unnecessary grovelling apology to our most hated rival who orchestrated the whole fucking thing, all to protect their corporate image. Now, to cap it all off, they sack a club legend and proven winner …

I know it's early but lets be honest, we don't have much to play for and this summer is fucking important. BBC Sport gossip column linking us with Croatian defender Dejan Lovren who plays for Lyon. Not a big watcher of the french league but he has looked decent the few times i've seen him for Croatia. anyone know much? The story comes from the mail.... also - being reported that Di Maria is going to be touted. I'd love us to have a chance with him. he looks weird as fuck but along with Ozil, I think he is vastly underrated.

Rumours have it that this is a done deal. Article from the Mirror detailing his playing style: With the arrival of the January transfer window, Brendan Rodgers will be looking to build on the strong start to the season with a signing or two at Liverpool. And one name he is continually linked with is Basel youngster Mohamed Salah. But is he any good? Would he fit into to Rodgers' system at Liverpool? Here’s Ross Dunbar with everything you need to know about the 21-year-old: Salah has been on the radar of some English and German clubs for well over a year. In fact, the option was on the table for the Egypt international to leave Switzerland over the summe…

Has anyone seen the bitterness in the bluemoon forums? I stumbled across it yesterday. What the fk is wrong with them? As far as I'm concerned they aren't even our rivals. Look at this thread: https://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/threads/liverpool-2018-19.335013/page-283 Embarrassing.

This place is becoming a joke, a clean up is needed. It has been suggested to me that we introduce a big brother style eviction process, where the ten biggest douchebags on the forum are selected and eventually voted out one by one until only one is left, and that forumite is allowed to stay. I'm not entirely convinced by the idea, but it does have some appeal and would be pretty interesting. The format would need some sorting out though. If enough people want it, I'll do it. If you don't, I won't. Also, I've just banned attacking_play because several people have asked me to, and because I think he was a WUM.
