Work-rate. Incisiveness. Nous. I don't ask for much. This is how it's gonna be. Build from the ground up. Yet another FA Cup tie at their place. This one's live on ITV. It feels as though we come up against this lot every few years, and always in the earlier rounds of the cup. In recent years, they've forever been turning a corner only to get a custard pie in the face, while spending substantial amounts of money in order to do so. The Glazers have spent a stack on transfers and wages, only to be met with scorn by the fans who demand the club spend as though owned by a sovereign wealth fund. The fans also bring out the Norwich scarves wh…

Wataru Endo hopes he can be an example for the next generation of Japanese Footballers after realising his own Footballing dream. The 31 year-old midfielder arrived in England with little fanfare as not much was known about him in this country despite plying his trade in his homeland and in Europe for well over a decade. Last summer shaped as being transitional with a number of high profile senior departures with the emphasis on bringing in young talent. When Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia turned down the Reds for Chelsea on the verge of the season kicking off, morale was pretty low among the fanbase and that didn’t improve much when En…

I can't wait for it to finish, it's so boring when we aren't playing. Can't wait for the weekend. The Spurs match should give us an indication of how our season is gonna go. A good result and performance could set us up for a very good season. I'm bored.

looked pretty good didn't he? He has zero pace, thus resorted to Balotelling Torres in the face at one time, but he is very composed, excellent in the air, a good passer and has a good positional sense. It will be interesting when Agger gets injured again to see who Kenny would pick, but I suspect it will be Carra and rightly so, but I wouldn't be too disappointed/scared if he picked Coates..

I’ve always had the feeling that leaving Liverpool is one of the most stupid things a player can do for his career. It usually only go downwards from there. But I can think of a few players who made the right call when they left and got a great career elsewhere also after leaving us. The three players who instantly spring to mind for me are S.McManaman, X.Alonso and L.Suarez. K.Keegan had two good years at Hamburg, but Im not sure if I think that is enough, R.Sterling went to City so I will not count him because they have been cheating ever since. What do you think, who have I missed or is it just these three?

Not being funny starting another thread but thought we should spell his name right......... RIP From BBC: Emlyn Hughes will be remembered as somebody who did everything to the maximum. Whether it was as a swashbuckling player whose style earned him the nickname Crazy Horse, or as a television quiz show captain who literally rubbed shoulders with royalty, Emlyn Hughes never did things by half. Emlyn Hughes was born in Barrow in August 1947, into a sporting family. His father Fred was a Great Britain rugby league international, as was an uncle, while one of his aunts was a hockey international. He signed for Blackpool but his all-action style so…

Jurgen Klopp knew he had a major job to do when he first arrived at Liverpool and was more focused on building a pathway to success than reclaiming the mantle of most successful club in English Football. That he has managed to do both is just another testament to the remarkable job that the German has done since coming to the club when it was clearly at the crossroads in October 2015. A student of the game, Klopp knew all about the fierce rivalry between Liverpool and Man United and Alex Ferguson’s phrase when he first joined the Red Devils. but he was much more interested in starting the process of building a successful team rather than focusing o…

Rhys Williams is set to depart Liverpool on a permanent departure in the summer according to a new report. The central defender became a very important figure in the 2020/1 season when Liverpool were severely down on numbers due to season ending injuries to Virgil Van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip. It meant that Williams and Nat Phillips had to develop a partnership with the team chasing what seemed to be a unlikely top four berth. The unheralded duo that had been on loan at Kidderminster Harriers and Stuttgart the season before, exceeded all expectations starting the last five games together and maximum points were claimed in those fi…

So, what do we reckon? I’ll give it two years maximum. He’ll get the first couple of transfer windows free because they’ll want to look like they’re invested in the ‘project’ but the majority of them will still want instant results. Thankfully these days instant results for them would be sneaking into the top 4. What a time to be alive.

The Silent Knight has a serious hip problem that needs medical intervention. According to the Echo, his family have launched an appeal to raise the 20 grand. This is getting to be such a regular thing, we may as well have a thread for them. Like the old Letter From America on Radio 4. https://www.nottinghamforest.co.uk/news/2024/march/18/club-statement/ Nottingham Forest is extremely disappointed with the decision of the Commission to impose a sanction on the Club of four points, to be applied with immediate effect. Notwithstanding our disappointment, we thank the Commission for agreeing to deal with this matter on an expedited basis. The Club considers it to be essential for the integrity of the league to have charges resolved in the season in which they are issued. …

I had heard rumours about this, but thought it was too absurd to really think it would ever happen. But here we are, what the fuck has happened here? Who in their right mind thought this was a good way of doing the members sale when it comes to future credits. Fuck you Liverpool FC.
