For those of you interested ( red racist oooops ,red vespa apart  ) There are a few reds currently playing in the World Youth Championships out in UAE. 2 are with The Rep of Ireland , Michael Foley and Darren Potter . Mixed fortunes for the pair at the moment tho .To date Ireland have had a good tournament with a very good win over a strong Saudi side and a draw against the outstanding Ivory Coast Foley ,has yet to make it off the bench in either game due largely to man Citys Glenn Whelan who has been in outstanding form .Potter on the otherhand is having a very good tournament after starting and finishing both games In the first game against saudi ,…

Why is it whenever the big useless lump makes any kind of contribution to a game he is singled out for praise by his uncle Gerard? "I am pleased for him, maybe he has been affected by the constant criticism," admitted the boss. "It is a matter of self-belief. I hope this goal will give him more confidence. "Emile does that in training on a regular basis. I am pleased because he gets so much stick. "I am a great defender of him and I am delighted he has shown he can score great goals like that. "There is so much he can do. He turns superbly, he beats people. When he decides to run with the ball nobody can touch him he is so powerful with so much pace. …

Against Birmingham, someone said to me: Babbel, Henchoz, Hyypia, Carra, with Ste Wright as cover. I couldn't but agree. I said last year Diao was shit. Certainly not worth 4 million. Igor is incapable of defending. Traore is lamentable - just as Riise is. I didn't think this new "attacking style" was going to make us piss-weak at the back. Changes need to be made.

When we were having the Duff or Kewell debate prior to the signing Harry, although I acknowledged how good a player he was I did say I'd prefer duff as I thought Kewell went missing for Leeds. Harry, I apologise. You've already done enough this seson to give the side a new attacking dimension, and your goals haul has so far been excellent. I was wrong to have doubts.

Was it just me or was Dudek injured in 1st half, and his mobility was hampered. When J J took that free kick, I said to myself he will score here cause Jerzy cannot move side to side well, and low and behold he did. Thank you to others on the site who informed me that Daio conceded the penalty, what the fuck was he doing. No Hyypia, gerrard, kewell, pongo and starting line-up we are not chelsea, arsenal, manure we cab not get away with fielding weakened teams and expect to win. I don't care how pissed off GH thinks he is, he picks the team he watches them in training, it is his responsibility. My wife is a bolton fan, I am no fuckin mood to listen to G…

Strength in depth or should I say lack of is costing us dearly. When we have got our best 11 playing we are decent and can give anybody a game. Below those 11 we are simply not good enough. Compare us to Arsenal. They played half their youth team last night and still won. In the prem the other week they had half a team suspended or injured and still won. With us we have players of supposed international quality in reserve and we cant beat a Bolton team who had 6 players missing. :wallbutt:

After remembering a few Mølby crackers i started thinking which goal is the greatest Liverpool goal ever. The first two that entered my mind was Terry McDermott`s goal in the 7-0 win against Spurs... and his goal against Spurs in the FA cup in 1980! Pure magic!! :)

Ged's priorities

"I will just check when the Bolton teamsheet comes - but I understand Sam's priorities. But we will have a strong side out, it is a competition we like and it is something we want to win again." So if Bolton's priorities are survival, what are ours? This is the sorta thing the Mancs leap on and piss 'em selves laughing about because it makes us sound like a middle table team with a token trophy their only ambition.

he is now asking for the LMA to get involved to stop managers critisising other teams players. Did he want that when he was having a good go at jeffers? (deservedly!!) Get one thing in your head and stick to it Gerard, you are making a tit of yourself.

Obviously good result against the brummies, especially after going behind. Good result at molineux too, but that firework, FUCK ME! Scary shit! The balance of power continues to shift on Merseyside I see then Moyesey? :rule: Two contrasting reports from bolton though, first the BBC saying "to call Everton's attack wafer thin would be an understatement." Wayne Rooney :what: Secondly, during the Premiership a certain striker tried a lob, on which the commentator, remarked "there was too much meat behind that." Wayne Rooney  Also, had to laugh at just how no-mark the blues are, as the panel barely even mentioned the fact they're in the bottom 3 :rule: , just tal…

What's happened to Robbie?

Does anyone share my dismay at Robbie Fowler's present situation? It is such a shame to see him struggling at a mediocre team such as Man City. He did ok at Leeds and was their top scorer in his first season there. However, he got injured again before being sold and just has not recovered his form since his move. Can anyone explain why? It is such a shame to see a truly gifted striker struggling, particularly after the amopunt of goals he got us, especially early on in his career. His only league goal this season came when Anelka was left out. Maybe they can't play together, (shades of Owen at Liverpool). Maybe if Anelka moves to united as has been rumoured it will …
