never thought i would say it. on one hand the worse we are then more i love them and get behind them, but today GH asked to get beat. damn shame. and now he has said this.. Houllier said: "I understand the fans' frustrationb, we are suffering together. But we just have to keep our heads up and keep going, but I admit this is a difficult period, I must say, for us. "We were without six first-teamers and all our first-choice strikers. In the end we paid for a lack of finishing. "Only Chelsea with their vast squad, could cope with the loss of as many players as we are having to handle. "If Manchester United lost Ruud van Nistelrooy and Paul Scholes …

Man Utd Match Report -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Manchester United's march towards the 2003/04 Premiership title continued today with a stunning display at Anfield. The Super Reds went ahead just before the kick-off when Giggs was sent away down the left wing. His cross was handled on the half way line by a Liverpool defender and a penalty was awarded for this cynical foul. Ruud Van Nistlerooy stepped up to slot the ball home for United's 33rd penalty of the season. It was no more than United deserved. The 15th minute saw the Super-Smashing Reds go two up after Danny Murphy was penalised for coughing just ou…

A primary teacher starts a new job at a school in Manchester and, trying to make a good impression on her first day, explains to her class that she is a United fan. She asks her students to raise their hands if they, too, are Untited or City fans. Everyone in the class raises their hand except one little girl. The teacher looks at the girl with surprise and says: "Mary, why didn't you raise your hand?" "Because I'm not a United or City fan," she replied. The teacher, still shocked, asks: "Well, if you're not a United or City fan, then who are you a fan of?" "I'm a Liverpool fan, and proud of it," Mary replied. The teacher could not believe he…

Planet football are running a poll to decide which game is likely to provide a shock result. This is the latest standing: Which game is likeliest to produce a shock? Yeovil v Liverpool 27% Kidderminster v Wolves 15% Gillingham v Charlton 7% Tranmere v Bolton 8% Spurs v C Palace 10% Everton v Norwich 28% Middlesbro v Notts Co 5% I presume the people who voted for Everton v Norwich are assuming that Everton might win.

One day at the Man United training ground, and an hour before they are due to finish, Sir Angry Ferguson says "Lads, I’m gonna have to leave an hour early. Just carry on training and I’ll see you tomorrow." So they carry on and leave at the normal time. The next day, Sir Alex says, "sorry again lads, but I’m gonna have to leave an hour early again. A spot of private business to attend to." When he's gone, Roy Keane says, "forget this, if he's going then I am too," and he takes off. The next day, the same happens. "Sorry lads, gonna have to leave early again." So Keane says, "Come on lads, lets all go home, he'll not know". So they all went home. When Phil N…

Just picked up this story about Gary Mac. So sad to hear that his wife is once again seriously ill. Any ideas on how we can show our support to a player who, in his own way, is a Liverpool legend? McAllister to step down temporarily Thursday, 11 December 2003 Coventry City player-manager Gary McAllister has asked to be temporarily released from all club duties in the near future for personal reasons. McAllister has informed club chairman Mike McGinnity of the news so can spend more time with wife Denise, who has a serious illness. Former Liverpool midfielder McAllister said: "I believe that I have a responsibility to be with my family at this time. …

Boumsong claims he will be signing for Glasgow Rangers! He said he has spoken to Liverpool,Arsenal and others, but they only make him wait, and he is not prepared to do that when Rangers has shown him how much he is wanted! He was very impressed with both Director Murray and manager McLeish.

Now, I wonder what the more cynical amongst us are thinking.... "Liverpool have announced the date for a replay against Yeovil Town in the FA Cup in the event of a draw at Huish Park on January 3. Any replay will take place at Anfield on Tuesday January 13, kick-off 8pm."

With the announcement that Owen is out for a few weeks, it looks like No 8 is our senior striker again. Just when you think his time is up, he gets a reprieve and he's back in the team. First he sees off Litmanen (O.K that wasn't his fault. It was a case of right place, wrong time. He didn't fit into the defensive minded, quick counter attacking side. He'd fit in perfectly now). Then Anelka comes in and you think thats it for him but that doesn't work out. Baros finally looks like getting a much deserved run in the side but gets injured. Mellor's scoring for fun in the ressies and is pushing for a chance, but decides to go on loan. Add to that the fact that Pongolle i…

Remember last year the BBC done a similar poll for the best song of all time and The Wolfe Tones won with A Nation Once Again. Get voting and pass it on!! This is very important!! Please do this so we can mess up the voting for British Sports Personality of the Year. Otherwise, it will be fun Bobby himself, Johnny Wilkinson!!! Pass it on Well it's that time of year again. A time for festivities, a time for family and friends and a time to destroy another british award ceremony. Ladies and Gentlemen, every year the main TV station in England runs a competition for "Sports Personality of the Year".... every year, an E…

from .tv "There are lots of things to be positive about when assessing our season so far, particularly as there is still a long way to go," he said. "We have done well with both Harry Kewell and Steve Finnan and the two young boys Le Tallec and Sinama-Pongolle have been exciting and look to be very good for the future - they are gems. "I think the quality of our game has been very good this season. We are playing more attacking football and creating a lot more chances - we are definitely a very good attacking side now. "I was also happy with the way we played in the second half at Newcastle. We were under the cosh but kept a level of solidarity and team…

Man City Tickets
by Guest GraemeMc- 15 replies

First of all sorry to start another thread on this topic but i think the anger i am feeling about this issue should be highlighted. My mate went down to the ticket office today at 12:15 to get tickets for the city game only to find out that it had sold out. I am absolutely raging about this as last season and so far this season we have not missed an away game and had the full allocation of games on our fan cards (16 games, as it wasn't used for first 3 last year). What is the point in a loyalty scheme when they say you only need to have been to 3 games and then sell out at 12 that day. Surely people with the full allocation of away games on their fan card should be gi…

Just read a mates rich list in 442 and steve morgan is higher than moores and holds a 5% stake in the reds.Interestingly he is in the top twenty even tho he holds less of a stake than the others such as the two fellas who own the race horses at utd. Just wondering what anyone knows about him? I mentioned on another post about him giving the board grief at the last AGM,any ideas what he said?
