The League Cup 1 2 3

I see the draw for the 2nd round of this cup is this Thursday. I assume we are in the 2nd round due to no European games? I think Kenny will want to win this. An early visit to Wembley would be huge for us as a squad.

Someone else did the Stoke one and we lost. Therefore I'm coming back to doing these to bring back some much needed good luck. Should we start Carroll? Who'll be right back? Does Maxi deserve a run? Will the Captain be back? All this and more.....below...

Only stats I know, but I've compiled them for all the clubs in the Premiership so far for my blog. Swansea have attempted and succeeded with more passes than Arsenal and most other clubs. Now all they need is a goal... club - attempted passes - (successful - missed) - successful in percentage 1 Chelsea 2404 (1959-335) - 81,5 2 Man City 2270 (1891-379) - 83,3 3 Man Utd 2240 (1838-402) - 82,1 4 Swansea 2238 (1800-438) - 80,4 5 Liverpool 2282 (1763-519) - 77,3 6 Arsenal 2155 (1742-413) - 80,8 7 Fulham 1981 (1472-509) - 74,3 8 Wolves 1783 (1313-470) - 73,6 9 Wigan 1658 (1312-346 - 79,1 10 QPR 1747 (1237-510) - 70,8 11 Bolton 1714 (1219-495) -71,1 1…

Wolves(H) Bitters(A) The Scum(H) Norwich(H) West Brom(A) Swansea(H) 4 at Home but one against the Mancs who are looking fucking unstoppable. But the other 5 games, if we get our shit together are all winnable. I think the past 2 games have been a real kick in the balls and exposed some big problems. But...we have seen glimpses of some good stuff against Bolton and Arsenal(albeit an understrength team at the time). But I think we can definitely walk away with a decent points haul if the right decisions are made by both management and the lads on the field. Praying we get our act together.

I heard a stat today that I think is scandalous and makes me think that the Mancs have input into the fixture list. We've moaned for years how we always seem to start and finish the season away from home and usually against fairly tricky teams, whereas the Mancs and even Chelsea get home games that are nailed on, but that pales into insignificance compared to this. The fixtures after a CL game are always tricky due to the amount of effort and travel put into those European games, and obviously being at home suits the teams better. Well this year, apparantly after Ferguson had a moan about having too many away games last year after these games, the four clubs fixtures…

I'm bored today, so I was thinking : If you started a thread on the FF with just the word ' discuss ' as the opening post, what would cause the most mayhem. I'm going with : Thread title : Code, your views on Rafa please.

Just listened to an interview with him on talksport. Came across as a genuine lad who just wants to play football. He has bought a house in france and he has moved his family there. He is throwing himself into the language as well. Spoke well of us and thanked the fans staff kenny and damien for being honest and supportive. Good luck to him.

Following on from last week's "Which Stoke player would you most like to see Suarez bite?", who would you most like to see Carroll glass?* There's 2 stand outs for me, Gallas and Adebayor. But there is also Lennon with his stupid eye brows, and Kaboul has always looked like a massize mong to me. Gallas has been a rel twat for so long now, but I'm gonna go with Adebayor, the main reason being that he talks in teh 3rd person, and only The Woolster gets away with talking in the 3rd person. * And yes, i know, it 'slipped' out of his hand.

Comolli answers your questions - Liverpool FC First of all Damien, you've had time to reflect on your work in the transfer window - how pleased are you in terms of the movement of players both in and out of the club? Well, we are very happy, but what we do during the season will decide how well we did in the transfer window. A lot of people are asking me the question 'are you happy with what you've done', I always say yes, but let's see where we are at the end of May and how well we have done in the league and in the cups. Also, it's not a work for one season, it's a work for two, three, four seasons, especially when you are investing in young players, as we'v…

I have noticed amongst the peasantry of the *F various flippant, denigrating and hostile remarks about this thing of ours. I now ask if they hate us? If so, what can we do to ensure that they recognise and respect our greater intellect and all-round magnificence?

I noticed an Oliver Holt article on this in todays Mirror. He seems to do about 4 of these a year. So, thoughts? Are English clubs inherently racist? Why English football needs it's own version of NFL's 'Rooney rule' to really eradicate racism Oliver Holt column - Oliver Holt - MirrorFootball.co.uk

My Grandad is boss, like proper boss. He's like 86, still drives, still climbs ladders, more active than me and is a proper laugh. He used to go the match a lot, I just presumed over time money and his interest faded. He comes over and watches the match with me on the tele when it's on, and he'll just shout 'SHOOOOT' every 5 fucking minutes with no reason. Anyway, I was talking to my family about it and the reason he doesn't go the match anymore is because sadly his friend was killed on Southport Road in Bootle. I've always offered him tickets and he's declined and I never really knew why and I was talking about it and that's why he won't go and hasn't been since.…

I've just had a 'meeting' with a local IT company regarding a potential placement in my final year of doing an IT degree. There is potential to work one day a week (unpaid), and it's likely if I want it I can get it. They want to see when I'm available. Now my problem is that I only have the one day a week off Uni, which I currently work (Paid) , I've been working there for a few years and they've been really good to me in that respect. I know I won't be working for them forever, but there has always been work, when and as I've needed it. So I have two options 1. Quit my current job, be out of pocket but gain invaluable experience + the potential of future em…

For those interested in the thoughts of our ex-manager on the Champions League and European Football this season. And before you start, he doesn't say anything remotely contentious about us! Benitez: Unity key to Barca success 12/09/2011 - 23:05 - Updated 13/09/2011 - 16:15 What is your opinion on Barcelona? What is the secret to their success? When I was with the youth team in Madrid, I played against Barcelona and all of them played 3-4-3. All the teams played the same system, the same passing game. Imagine 14 or 15 years later doing the same thing. Now they have some good players and a system that suits them, which make them happy to play together. Als…

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish shows strain after Stoke defeat | Football | The Guardian I thought he was a red? That is article is pretty disrespectful to Dalglish and you would think that a Liverpool fan wouldnt compare the strain he went through after Hillsborough to having a go at a referee. Out of order in my opinion.
