Monday Oct 4:

This international shit is getting beyond a joke now. Honestly, it’s fucking outrageous that we’re expected to let our players go nd play for their country and then have to do without them for two games while they quarantine. We pay their wages, their international sides don’t. So if Brazil have to do without all of their players who make a living in Europe, tough shit. I can’t believe the clubs are actually willing to accept this you know. It’s mad. One club alone can’t take a stand against FIFA, but the leagues can.

From our perspective, Alisson and Fabinho will miss Watford away (a game in which we got spanked last time) and Ateltico away (another game in which we were spanked) because Brazil have called them up and they can’t refuse to go because FIFA will ban them.

The only good thing to come out of this was Klopp’s revelation the other day that 99% of our squad are double jabbed. His comments on that were fucking outstanding, we’re so lucky to have him. Not just as a manager, but as a man. He’s great. Someone you can feel proud of. That’s our leader and he’s fucking immense. Compare him with some of the absolute pricks at other clubs.

Still, his comments did immediately have me wondering who the “one percent” is. “99%” basically means there’s only one who isn’t vaxxed. If Lovren was still here it would defo have been him, and maybe Shaq might have been influenced by him if he was still here. But they’re gone, and Klopp said he didn’t even need to talk to the squad about it as they did it themselves. Alisson’s missus is a doctor or something, and the Brazilian lads are all vaxxed so it’s none of them.

Klopp didn’t say this in as many words but the impression he gave was “everyone who matters has been jabbed” so that leads me to the obvious conclusion that the one member of the squad refusing to be vexed is…..Loris Karius. I hope so anyway, because nothing against him personally, it’s just that he’s the only one that I wouldn’t be disappointed in as I don’t care about him either way. Same applies to Naby too, but I don’t think it’s him.

Tuesday Oct 5:

Getting a bit bored with all this talk of Mo being under-rated, under-appreciated, not given the recognition he deserves etc. All I’ve been reading these last few weeks is how he’s the best player in the Premier League and possibly the best player in the world currently. How can you be described as the world’s best but be under-rated? I actually think I preferred it when he was under-rated because every time Carragher or Ferdinand or whoever says it, you know his agent is sticking another zero on the end of the contract demands.

It’s a problem for us because while it’s great he’s taken his game up to the level we’ve seen this season, it’s also pricing him out of Liverpool as I just don’t see the club paying him the salary that the best player in the world commands. In his time here he’s been top three in the world in his first season, a minimum of top ten in all the others and currently he’s probably one or at worst two (I’ve not seen enough of Messi at PSG to comment). So his agent is more than justified in asking for a salary that would make him top five in the world.

Will FSG sanction that? There’s nothing in their time here to suggest they will, but that doesn’t mean they can’t make an exception. It’s a bad situation for the fans though as this is becoming more of an issue by the week. And although they were on a smaller scale, we’ve seen these scenarios before with Big Sexy (Emre) and Little Sexy (Gini), where it drags on with no deal being done and before you know it it’s the last six months of the contract and Klopp is having to convince everyone that they player is still committed despite the fact he’s off.

Wednesday Oct 6:

Another PL player is arrested on sex charges. A Brighton player, widely rumoured to be Bissouma. Maybe that’s why no-one went for him in the summer? If he’s a bit of a bad apple that would explain it. Clubs do more and more research into what players are like off the field now before spending massive amounts of money on them, and given some of the things that have happened recently (Mendy and Sigurdsson are both £50m signings remember) I imagine some serious vetting is going to be going on from now on.

I hadn’t watched MOTD from last weekend until today when I did the round up, so I hadn’t seen Klopp’s interview post match from Sunday. I loved this line about the atmosphere and how it went a bit flat “People showed up really hungry and we delivered cold chips”. Sensational stuff. What a fucking man. What a character. He’s just the best isn’t he?

Wait, Divock is being linked with Barca? This is just too good. I don’t know if it’s us taking the piss by offering him to them or if they really are in such dire straights they think he can help them. Their fans would fucking hate him. Not only will they still be bearing a grudge over what he did to them, but when you think about the forwards they’ve had, to end up with Div is just something they wouldn’t be able to handle. I hope this is bullshit because, and I mean this in all sincerity, Divock deserves better than that.

While Div’s being linked with a move away, there’s talk today that we want some cat named Dusan Vlahovic from Fiorentina. No idea if he’s any good or not but he’s rated at nearly £80m and lots of top clubs are sniffing around. He’s been described as the ‘new Zlatan’ though so that’s a hard pass from me I’m afraid.

Thursday Oct 7:

You know, I can’t fucking believe that Newcastle takeover has been the go ahead. I feel genuinely sick about this. Sick and angry. And disillusioned. There are so many reasons why it shouldn’t have been given the green light but the two that jump out are how are they seen as fit and proper owners, and how the fuck have the other clubs stood by to let this happen? The PL know these people are cunts. They also know that “assurance” they got was fucking bullshit and there’s nothing whatsoever to stop them spending whatever the fuck they like. I feel like this is a massive nail in the coffin of footy now.

And you only have to look at the reaction of the Newcastle fans to know how bad this is going to get. As I keep saying, along with Everton these are the absolute worst fans this could happen to. As much as I despise City, their fans have not actually been bad at all when you consider everything. In fact, the more I think about it, the more I actually think they deserve credit for not being the massive cunts that most other sets of fans would be. If you think I’m giving them too much credit, just watch how the Geordies carry on from now on and you’ll see. It’s already started, hundreds of them turning up at St James’ tonight to pay homage to their new Saudi overlords. Cunts. Maybe some City fans acted like that, but most didn’t and they’re not singing songs every week about how rich they are. I fucking guarantee Newcastle fans will be doing that shit.

The media reaction isn’t helpful either. Instead of uproar, we’ve got lowest common denominator twats like Sky Sports News speculating about what kind of super team the Saudi’s will assemble. It’s sickening, this shit is being normalised like it’s ok. There should be outrage, instead there’s excitement. It’s happened with City and that was bad enough but this is a whole other level. The Saudis are much worse than City’s ownership and they’re much richer too.

And the press and pundits can get to fuck with all this “the fans deserve success” and the “poor long suffering Newcastle fans” narrative. You really don’t have to look very far to see fans who are more long suffering than Newcastle. Try a few miles down the road, where you’ll find League One Sunderland. That’s before we even mention Bury, Bolton, Derby, Leeds, Blackburn and all the other clubs who have been fucked over by shitty owners. So spare me the “poor Newcastle fans” bollocks.

As for what they ‘deserve’, why do they deserve success more than anyone else? Because the North East is a ‘footballing hotbed’ of course. Again, get to fuck. I’m not questioning the passion of Sunderland and Newcastle fans, but this notion they care more than fans in other parts of the country is daft. Newcastle wear that “loyalest supporters” tag like a badge of honour because they’ve got fuck all else going on, but just because they wear footy shirts to funerals, weddings, to go the shops, to go to dinner and basically everywhere they go, doesn’t make them more “loyal” fans than anyone else. It makes them bellends.

I had no time for them before this, but now I’m really going to fucking hate Newcastle fans. They’re already wearing masks with the head Saudi fella’s face on it, and there’ll be fucking thousands of them dressed like Arabs this weekend. The absolute fucking worst. “Amanda” can go and fuck herself too, the twat.

Friday Oct 8:

Ok so my second question yesterday has now been answered. I wondered why on earth the clubs would go along with this and it seems that they didn’t. Apparently all 19 are furious about it and are demanding answers from the PL. Couple of thoughts on that. They can’t say they were taken by surprise as this has been in the news for weeks. So they knew what was going on, which means their anger just be related to a final decision being made without them being involved in it. You have to wonder how anyone could let the Saudis pass a “fit and proper” owners test. Someone’s been paid off here, that’s the only way this makes any sense.

Of course Newcastle fans continue to act like the biggest cunts in the world. I’m just completely sickened by them. I said all along this is how they’d be but the truth is they’re even worse. Even I didn’t think they’d be THIS shameless, and outside of Sunderland I doubt there’s anyone with a lower opinion of them than me. One of their fanzines are selling t-shirts with a fella sat on a camel holding a Saudi flag, and the caption “Saudi Mags”. This only the start. We’re 24 hours in and already I’ve seen more shit than I can handle. Mind you, 95% of it has been sent to me by my Mackem brother-in-law who is REALLY not handling this well, as you can imagine.

You know what would fix this? If the other 19 clubs just refused to play until the Saudis are fucked off. I’m serious. There’s no Premier League without the other clubs so if they stick together they can basically do anything. They won’t do it, because nobody has got anybody balls. They’ll cry and moan about it but won’t do what it takes to stop it, and in a few years they’ll all be thinking “why did we let this fox in the henhouse?” Except Everton. They’ll be singing “Howay the lads” and wearing Newcastle shirts because the Geordies are stopping us winning the league.

….and that was the week that was.

Pre takeover, City fans were amongst the best in my match going experience. Decent craic and happy to share a cab up to Anfield. They always caught a break because they'd genuinely been through the fucking ringer throughout the '80's and '90s and suffered for their love of their club.

The geordies on the other hand were like that special kid full of fake bravado you put up with out of pity. Won fuck all but reckoned they were everyone's favourite second club.  I'll never forget the bunch of them outside cabbage hall in 2005 singing "you can stick your champions league up your arse"! It was the pity that saved them from getting filled in that day. Oh god, they'll be in-fucking-sufferable now...

If Salah is not the best player right now, it yes nothing to do with Messi. He’s been quiet so far , and he’s no longer the best any more, and that’s been the case for some time.

Le ballon d’or he’s become a circus, all that media nonsense for the release of the list of 30. Ridiculous. You used to know who won by buying the issue at the beginning of the Xmas break.

It seems football is no longuer a collective sport. They might give to Messi again which would be even more ridiculous than 2 years ago.

It's surely Giggsy's turn this year?

I'm all over it in the diary this week mate. Fucking horrific business, couldn't believe that.

We now have a show called "wingmen" when the stars not only don't play on the wing, but they don't even need to be men.

KFC fucking knobheads.
