Liverpool appear set to have a very quiet summer in the transfer market for the second year in a row.
In a Daily Mirror report, it states that the coronavirus pandemic has struck clubs extremely hard across the Footballing landscape meaning that they will have to rest their spending budgets accordingly.
Liverpool are well known to be extremely specific and effective in identifying who they want and it has widely been speculated that Timo Werner is someone of real interest and the same applies to Lyon attacking midfielder Houseem Aouar.
But with both players reportedly costing a combined fee of £90 million and that is not counting wages and bonuses over a long period of time, means that signing anyone with such a hefty price tag at this time seems an unthinkable scenario.
Clubs are doing it exceptionally hard with no revenue coming in due to supporters not being allowed to be in attendance.
This is speculated to be the case until well into 2021 therefore costing the clubs into the millions of pounds.
A conservative prediction sees clubs losing £3 Million a game which will stretch to £100 across the whole season.
Despite the finances being in fine shape, the Reds feel the risk is far too great to splash any great outlay of cash in the next month, but there will still be departures such as out of October tract players and those who are looking for a fresh start.
A silver lining to this policy is that all clubs are set to be in a similar boat meaning that Liverpool will not any ground on their main rivals.
It will also be a big positive for the likes of Curtis Jones, Harvey Elliott, and Neco Williams who will get many more first team opportunities-than previously thought.
